I've been to some pretty cool stadiums over the hears.

Haynesville
Jewel Sumner
Laranger is in the middle of a neighborhood. As they added on to the school it lead to a unique layout.
Many
Winnfield

All cool places.

Then there's places like North Vermillion and Kaplan that are in the middle of nowhere. Once a crop duster hit the fields next to Kaplan during the game and it blew over the stadium. Everyones eyes started burning, and it took about 15 min to get the game going again.

It will be ugly.

Just get back here Friday around 9.

Maybe earlier. I dont care what team Woodlawn was earlier this season or later. Destrehan is better in all phases and will dominate Woodlawn on offense and after they get a lead they will make life hell for Collins.

I bet you $100 in bitcoin now Destrehan wins.

Take it or leave it

I didn't say Woodlawn will win, but I also don't expect a blowout. You act like Woodlawn fans will go into hiding or something if they lose

I disagree. I don't think Zachary is better than Destrehan. Personally, I think Destrehan will win it all in 5A.

That said, I don't think Woodlawn is a pushover, either. To beat Catholic, you've gotta be pretty darn good.

FYI, the Under the Lights Facebook page will be free streaming the 3A Abbeville/Wossman game and the 2A Kinder/Amite game.
I’ll post a link Friday evening if anyone is interested.

It seems like an intimidating place to play
Ferriday was in our 3 A district for my last two years (1976 and 1977) at Farmerville. You dressed in their gym, not a locker room, out in the stands, then you had to walk across a parking lot from the gym to the stadium around 40 yards away. The sheriff's department, police and dads from Ferriday, formed two lines for you to walk between. They'd had trouble at some games with locals throwing things at the visiting teams. Our coaches had told us about it during practice that week, and told us not to say anything to anybody. That was pretty intimidating.

Check out R. Clinton Schulze Stadium in Mason, TX. Fox Sports SW televised a game from there before COVID. They have a very cool looking old stadium. They call it The Puncherdome.

What do you make of Ponchatoula's chances of getting to the dome?

Pretty good. The killers are on the other side of the bracket.

They wont.

There is just made up hype off of one win. Saying they are better now compared to earlier in the season. How early? They played St Amant and East Ascension after West Monroe and Zachary. And they looked bad. Their defense is not very good and Destrehan is solid at every position, better coached, and has some of the best special teams I've seen in Louisiana so far this season. Marcus Scott has a dynasty on his hands possibly if he is able to win it this year. They are extremely young with less than 10 starters being seniors.

. I watch this team ever week and I would be shocked. It wouldn’t surprise me if they lost to Ehret

after #1 Ehret is pretty bad now. Without him they’re on the level of Bonnabel and Grace King

They might have to beat WM, Zachary and Destrehan--just to play Acadiana in the Dome.

So..............

That's easily the sickest draw in 5A.

Another thought about this post… you generally don’t talk about a team’s draw if you don’t think they have the ability to get through it… looking at the calpreps rankings, the top 13 teams in nonselect 5A are in round 2 along with #17 Denham Springs. The worst two teams left are #23 Chalmette and #31 John Ehret

This is like the tenth time you've posted a similar message.

youve only been on this board for a month. you have no clout.

You are obviously the mother/auntee of a player. Good luck friday, but Woodlawn is about to blast destrehan.

Deal with it

I have been surprised by the Destrehan hype here. I guess more so the dismissal of Zachary given that Destrehan is on their side of the bracket. Granted - Zachary's schedule wasn't the toughest in the world. St. Aug as the only tough non district game. No one will schedule Zachary. But they beat the teams on the schedule and beat all but one by double digits (Woodlawn). I guess we will see if both teams make it to the semis.
