Trickle down effect. Curtis and Evangel leave, Calvary wins state. Winning state allows Calvary to recruit better players. Their program gets better. They can then play with national powers if they choose to do so.

This could get ugly for U-High unless recruiting picks up even more

It looks like they're just fine for themselves.

But yes, U High will likely get beat by Parkview for the two years they're in 3a unless they were beef up enrollment.

It is STUPID to put half of EBR in a 5A district with Livingston and then put the other half in Ascension.

One district should be Zachary, Central, Scotlandville, Catholic, McKinley, Woodlawn, and Broadmoor

The other should be Denham Springs, Walker, Live Oak, East Ascension, and Dutchtown.

Newman will definitely have the skill players to compete but i don't know if they'll be able to find kids to beef up their O-Line and front 7.

ND of Crowley is shite out of luck now. They had to contend w/ PBS, now they have no shot.

we play St. Paul's in basketball at Jesuit that morning

EDIT- 5A looks okay but the LHSAA looks like they did a hatchet job in NOLA with classes 4A, 3A, and 2A. see what happens when a North LA guy runs your organization

actually 2 of the best games I have ever seen were ND and JC games...

ND lost one in finals.. scored late.. had tie breaker.. went for two lost by one.. KICK and they win..... coach wanted to win out right...

I guess UHS will be in Parkviews district. Maybe UHS/Parkview will be able to generate a good local rivalry to replace the Parkview/Redemptorist rivalry from the past. Look for UHS to increase enrollment in 8th/9th grade starting this year.

kids are already talking about it.

I agreed until I realized that you can't get from Livingston to Ascension without going through Baton Rouge/French Settlement.

CHS Parkview will be an annual Thursday game before district. That will be THE rivalry in Baton Rouge in 5 years.

if it's football it might be a "bowl" game... i don't mind if it's true. both teams had one of their 10 scheduled games cancelled and missed the playoffs. you know ehret would want to get that first W of the year

from 1980 through 1986 that was one of the most feared programs in the state.
