That WM team last year that went 38-3 had a core that played together since they were 8. They lost some to OCS, St. Fred's, and Cedar Creek though as well.
all 11 could play and they were exceptionally well coached.

I know we see it in BC all the time. We constantly lose kids to Rummel, Jesuit, Curtis, BM,, DLS, etc... hell, Karr is after one of our football players right now
i'd put us, yall, Hahnville, and Destrehan in the same boat as schools that are academically good enough that they shouldn't be losing kids, but do so anyway

Whoa dude relax I wasn’t trying to get into a pissing match about it

Are other areas in the state as saturated with schools as the nola area?

Yep.. however, I would imagine that hahnville and destrahan do a better job of retaining their local kids... could be wrong though

It’s gotten to the point where teams were calling us to play games/tournaments/etc and we would turn them down, because as soon as the games end, they start talking to our players ... schools like holy cross, de la salle, and rummel ALWAYS poach our kids

Now the NOLA ‘public’ schools are always over here: Karr, Easton, etc

other parts of the state have 1A, B, and C schools that we're supposed to treat like equal members of the LHSAA...

the point is, below 250 in enrollment, you have 1A, B, C, IV, and V all sending four teams to Sulphur.

You know, out of 20, 27, 27, 26, and 9.

That's 20 teams out of a combined 109 who have to be nowhere near as good as the bigger schools have to be.

The 20 schools that are bigger in Sulphur come from 5A, 4A, 3A, I, and II... 50, 50, 43, 13, and 17.

I do know that a certain div IV semifinalist beat a 4a semifinalist 13-6...late in the year and another beat a 3a semifinalist... as well....

Wish all of the games were more visible. Lot of obstructed views.
