i guess the lafayette schools have the same talent too spread out problem NOla has..

STM had trouble on mound early got down 8-1 in 1 or 2

I remember New Iberia winning state titles every other year in the 70's and 80's before NISH split into Westgate and CHNI went co-ed.

Teams in the Catholic League seemed to be their only competition.

Even in the late 80's, CHBR was barely a road bump on the way to state. Talent spreading out is not indigenous

I remember going there (NISH) for a basketball tournament once and their entire starting 5 plus one more on the team could dunk the ball. This was back in the 80's when it was much less common. Our tallest guy was 6'-4" and about 140lbs.
