Do we know if Cox or VSN will have the games televised/streamed live? Sorry if already posted.

The Thursday 12 game is such a crappy draw for a State title game. Wish they would simply go back to late game on Saturday….or heck just have 5 games!

Think the issue is saints game on Sunday and needing time to prep for that

I think I'm gonna try to make this. How much are tickets at the dome box office? Worth buying ahead on tm?

The NFL is the reason they want the Dome cleared by X hour.

Neither of those will ever happen. unless they move to regional college venues.

These are some absolutely great matchups though.

louisianasportsline

Download the LHSAA app to your phone

NFHS

Don't know why Sterlington would be showing the game on their YouTube, but no one else is. Might be he forgot to take that one off the list. Would think Ouachita and Ruston would use there's too.

ETA:

The louisianasportsline link has directions for how to download the LHSAA app to an Apple TV, to a Roku or to an Amazon Firestick.

I realize this will vary from team to team but in general do the north LA teams come in the night before? Or make the drive on game day?

I realize the dream is to play in the Dome and it also is weather proof but having the championship at Tulane stadium was way better atmosphere.

Bearcat seniors leaving high standard
Ruston’s fourth-straight Superdome trip built on historic class
— Matt Belinson

Jerrod Baugh usually doesn’t do comparison games.

He coaches in the present. He worries about the task at hand regardless of opponent or time of year. When you lead one of the most consistent high school football programs in the state, an intense focus is required, and Baugh has gotten good at it.

But sometimes exceptions can be made, especially as the Bearcats prepare to make a school-record fourth straight trip to the state championship game.

So, what comparison exercise is worth Baugh’s deviating from his usual practice-makes-perfect approach and everyone-is-good mentality?

“Somebody asked me the other day, ‘Who do you feel like the most important senior group has been as far as trying to continue to go to the state championship and keep the program where it has been?’ And that’s tough because all of them have served their purpose,” Baugh said. “The 2022 group got us back to this point and beat West Monroe and did a lot that helped the groups after them.

“Obviously, the 2023 group won a championship, and last year’s group had us there in the game again. But when you’re talking about sustaining success and the program staying where it’s been, I think the group of seniors this year has shown the program is where it needs to be that nobody expected the team to be what it is, but to keep the program to where they’ve set the bar, it speaks a lot about this group of seniors,” Baugh continued.

He can’t go wrong with the 2026 senior class. After all, they’re about to do something Saturday afternoon that no other class in the history of Ruston High School has done: play in their fourth straight state championship game.

The Bearcats don’t have a 5-star prospect or District MVP in this class, let alone anyone with a Division I scholarship offer. But all this senior class has done is win at a level never before seen at one of the most storied programs in Louisiana. Try a 48-7 record for this class since the start of the 2022 season. ...
