Red Sox will suck again. I'm wondering if this is the year I care about baseball again.

They were one borderline strike call away from probably going to the World Series just two years ago.

Cool, I do understand it sounds crazy, but I was beyond pissed that they traded Mookie and blew up the team.

Hottish takes—Acuna wins the NL MVP (he had a really good BABIP last year, but no lift—hit a lot of hard ground balls. He seems to have corrected that. And the knee kept him from running as much as previous seasons. With the new rule changes, I think he’s gonna go after 40/40 and get close)

And Olsen and Riley both finish in the top 10 in voting.

Braves, Mets, and Phillies finish 1-3 in the East in whatever order, but all 3 make the playoffs, and whoever gets hot in the postseason wins the NL pennant. The Central is not a factor, the Dodgers lose the NLCS to the East representative, and the Padres have another disappointing season and don’t make the playoffs.

Braves, Mets, or Phillies over the Yankees in the WS.

Ohtani wins both the Cy Young and MVP in the AL.

Max Scherzer wins his 4th Cy Young, becoming the 5th oldest winner ever behind teammate Justin Verlander.

Ohtani won MVP two seasons ago on a losing team and should have again last season. Trout has won two in losing seasons. Stanton won MVP with Miami in a losing season. Harper has won two in barely winning non-playoff seasons. Pretty sure A-Rod did as well with Texas.

It happens often enough.

Signing Devers long term was an admission that trading Mookie was a bad decision, IMO. I think they were expecting more out of Verdugo. Verdugo being so underwhelming is what really makes the Mookie trade look so bad.

Those teams and franchises are the exact opposite of the Cardinals.

Like I said, if that somehow happens buy a lottery ticket. Be one of the craziest calls ever.

To be fair I copied my winning picks from the other thread and then added the award winners forgetting that I didn't pick St. Louis.
