No.

Yes, death penalty - not for the fact that some sicko long-time assistant coach molested little boys, but for the fact that there was an ongoing and widespread conspiracy to cover it up so that the truth never saw the light of day.
frick Penn State for letting that happen - those sick fricks that enabled a child rapist over the well-being of children - all in the name of college football. frick the entire program.
Pull the plug on that shite.

To those who say no death penalty (Im not even fully for that) how about severe sanctions?

Either way I could care less about the 3rd string WR who was never going to have a career in football anyway. Get your free degree and move on with your life.
So he came to practice every day and worked his arse off for 3 years only to have his senior season taken away in an attempt to "send a message" to people who aren't at Penn State?

As for me-heavy sanctions should come down immediately. Death Penalty should be on the table. However they should have a full investigation before using it and should wait minimum 1 year because of scheduling obligations of the opponents.
Agreed. Let them play ball this year just so we don't rush into this and frick with other programs.

football is a great way for the community to get together.
Penn State is more than aware of this, and the administration allowed Sandusky to molest kids in order to protect this. Anything that Paterno and the others did to protect needs to be damaged as a result. This is why we can't have nice things.

How about putting into perspective that football is not a right but a privilege, and that children suffered by the University's hands of this privilege. As long as you care remotely about football considering the situation, then you are always wrong IMO. Football shouldn't be something anyone gives a shite about at that cesspool of an institution. That is if they truly understand the scope of what exactly happened.

They were trying to protect themselves. So punish them, don't everybody who had nothing to do with it.
Do you honestly think Penn State's AD or President is going to give a crap about Penn State football if he's spending then next 10 years behind bars?

It is crazy how people are viewing this solely from the viewpoint of the innocent players and staff, and why? Because they think it isn't fair that innocent players and staff become collateral damage. Do you know why this is ironic? Because the true victims, THE CHILDREN RAPED BY JERRY SANDUSKY, were collateral damage BEFORE the accusations came to light, and they will again become collateral damage AFTERWARDS if Penn State doesn't get the death penalty.

How so?

Why? I doubt anybody who knew was going around telling people. McQueary was there for 5 years and clearly he was taken aback by what he saw.
You have to be incredibly naive to believe that only the people we all know about knew what was going on. It's rumored to be an open secret. Seriously, if you were a player and Sandusky came in all the time with boys in tough and is touching their legs, wouldn't you think something was up? While the specific incidents may have merely been known by the administration and coaches, it was probably an unconfirmed fact from those who spent a lot of time with him that he fricked kids.

I won't shed one tear for any of the players if they get hit with the death penalty.
And I'd feel the same exact way if this situation happened at LSU, my alma mater.
I love college football and all, but this whole Sandusky scandal goes way beyond the pale - much too far to allow football to continue as normal
