Two decisions

1- with under two minutes left up 1, decides to go for it on 4th down instead of kicking the FG because their D has been a sieve. They convert and go up by 7

2- decides to go for two, converting wins the game. Not converting, Tenn would still need a TD. They fail.

I personally think both were the correct call, just didn't work out. In fact, the fact that Tenn scored so easily reinforces the decision of going for two to seal the game.

Tennessee went on to win the game in OT.

I would have made the same calls.

It didn’t work out but that doesn’t mean they were poor decisions.

#1 was clearly the correct call

I would have no real problem either way for #2 but I like the aggressiveness

Anyone disagreeing with the decision to go for 2 up 7 at that stage of the game is the same person that doesn’t understand why when you are down 14 you should go for 2 after scoring the first TD.

I would’ve kicked the PAT to go up by 8.

I thought his calls were questionable but at 1-4 this season, why not stay aggressive. All I know is I picked TN for Survivor and I was gripped!!!

I thought he should have called timeout when Henry lined up in the wildcat at the end. They did not have a stacked box and I thought the wrong personnel in at the time.

1-4 record. Play to win the game. Correct calls.
Helps set a winning mindset in the players that their coach wants to win and believes in the team.

The decision to go for 2 was... stupid. It supposedly may have been the correct call from an analytics standpoint... but it was stupid.

I would have kicked the PAT. Put the onus on the other team to try and convert a 50/50 play.

Number one was the right call no matter what, but at the time, number two was foolish and has been proven so.

If you fail you made bad decisions, plain and simple. No one says “they lost, but they made good decisions” nor do they say “well they won but they didn’t make good decisions”.

I prefer to put the onus on my team to win the game and not put it in the hands of my defense that couldn’t stop a nose bleed

No. Because it was dumb.

That being said, I'm happy he made such a dumb call.

Going for two told your defense they were trash. So when you missed it, you basically told them to frick off.

I absolutely love going for 2 to make it a 9 score game.

There's been two games the last two weeks where teams scored a TD to go up 15 midway through the 4th and both times they kicked the extra point to go up 16. Makes no sense.

Go for 2 and if you convert it's a 17 point 3 score game and basically over. Even if you miss it's 15 and the other team would still have to convert one 2 point conversion to tie it.
