I didn’t really get the sense of a lack of excitement, moreso it seemed like a sense of relief and wistfulness to be back in a head coaching role.

That's true but any defense at all would give him an edge. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Les will not make Kansas a national power. He looks lost at the presser.

Les wasn't here long enough to recruit his own quarterbacks or pick his staff. He was handcuffed by the crap Saban left him for the first few years then we really saw the quarterback play trending up

If he gets them to a 7 win team it would be a great achievement

talked about the offense when "we didnt have the QBs"

well shite Les, whose fault is that? Between recruiting and not coaching them up, by all means, why "didnt we have the QBs"??
I think Brandon Harris is going to revise his prediction for Kansas Football.

The presser was weird with the long pauses but he just finished the weekly radio show in Lawrence and it was fantastic. Seemed a lot more laid back and comfortable.

not sure how closely you followed Les at LSU (interviews, pressers, etc), but this presser was typical Les Miles IMO... a little late to start, a lot of random thoughts and comments that typically fail to reach a point and oftentimes don't even address the original question, many moments where he makes no sense, using 100 words to explain something that could have been explained in 10.... I don't say these things to criticize Les, after following him so many years it actually became part of his lore and you'll grow to know it well and enjoy it ... he's just an interesting character and "He's Les" and certainly has his own way about him and mannerisms and character. The only thing it was lacking was something overtly comical/funny, I could definitely tell he wasn't completely comfortable yet as would be expected and he acted a little "formal"

Loved that KU hat he had on! ... Looking forward to rooting for Les and Kansas next season.

Just FYI, despite the perception some people have of him due to his mannerisms, Les Miles is one of the most organized CEO's in college football and is extremely detail oriented as it relates to program management/recruiting/practices/staff/etc.

Yeah but if you look at those pressers from back in 2007 and before he was a different man. He had his quirks but he had balls, he wasn't called lesticles for no reason. With the archival nature of our society it is really easy to see his decline I think in confidence and mind.

And who hell's fault is that? His dumbass wanted to make Dak Prescott a TE. He whiffed on Patterson and others? Why can't you Miles lovers see that this guy has a screw loose?

He is a total dumbass. Babbling on about want, opportunity, quality men, blah blah. Good riddance.

That should be the goal moving forward. Get Kansas (sans-Ar) to 6 win seasons 3+ years in a row, top 25 recruiting classes then hand the program off to an attractive big name up & coming young coach.

Enjoyed the presser and his les-ism’s

Everyone is shitting on his long pauses and thoughts don’t realize we having fricking Yah Yah as our coach who I’m not even sure knows how to speak proper English.

On that note, I wish Les nothing but success at Kansas and will be following their football program.

Geaux Tigers, Geaux Les.
