But I never liked them in Charlotte. I had a loathing for Larry Johnson that was transferred to the team.
Who knows? I am open. Just need a team that plays good solid physical basketball.

Westbrook looks like Bodie from the wire.
Durant looks like a skinny Avon Barksdale

Hornets games are the thing I miss most about not being in New Orleans

Right. But how many of those people were accused of not being clutch?
I would say most of them. Bonds was. Marino was. Malone was.
I wouldn't be shocked if Lebron won multiple rings either. I hope he does because I actually like him. But I wouldn't assume it either.

I guess my point was that people like Elway and Manning didn't magically become clutch when they won the superbowl. That's just silly.

How is this any different, except for Durant's teammates made shots, and Lebron's didn't?

i've been getting into arguments about lebron well before he was in miami. he got a ton of shite for getting swept in the finals that one year, for example. SCH hates him b/c of the old cavs-wizards rivalry (when he got the nickname "LeWalk")
yea me and unlucky were pretty bitter back then. like kk said tho i was excited as frick when he came in the league but once he started acting like a douche it just rubbed me the wrong way esp during the wiz vs cavs series over and over.

LeBron is under a much different microscope right now than most HOF type players have ever been under.
well he brought it on himself

Shouldn't his game when being compared to other HOFers be based on, ya know, what happens on the court?
NOt what he says or what tattoo he has, as those things have zero to do with, ya know, what happens on the court?

the arrogance to get chosen one and embracing being called the king before doing anything brings him more open to being critizied. That and when his fans go along with calling him them things. Last night one of my friends who is a "heat" fan said Lebron is the GOAT shite like that is why people get so frustrated with "heat" fans

When you judge players in terms of all time greats and where they fit, you should be doing so with no bias, almost like you're looking at PLayers A, B, and C, so you're not attaching a name to it and adding in any biases.

well let's be fair
how many prodigies got as much hype as lebron and basically lived up to it from the start onward?
i get what you're saying, but it is pretty amazing how lebron did embrace the hype and didn't frick it up or wilt. dude would have been the #1 pick after his junior year and had an almost 8 figure deal for 1 year in europe as a senior

Manning was definitely accused of that. His college career didn't help.

Just so you know - on the podcast posted late yesterday, both Bill Simmons and Dan Lebatard discuss why LeBron goes into hiding at the end of the games, and fails to rise to the challenge unlike any other great player in NBA history.
We're not crazy on the anti-LeBron side....

People will see what they want to see. Lebron is damn good for 42 minutes. The pace/tempo/style of the final 6 minutes of a close game really dont favor the type of player he is. I think the reason people think he crumbles/folds/isnt clutch/ whatever is because he is so good during the first 42 that people cant understand why he doesnt dominate the final 6. Is he awful in the final 6 minutes? No. Is he as good in the final 6 as the first 42? No.Is this an excuse? Yes. But I do think there's at least a little substance behind it.
