I’m talking about your use of a metaphor, not your master’s use to call out the NFL.

You are one of the most worthless posters on here, and that is saying a lot.

He's not exploited but he's well under paid.

I don't think I necessarily agree with the NFL players facing exploitation by billionaire owners but I see why that argument exists

He makes around $40M/year to play a game and be an entertainer.

Or you can argue that he’s extremely overpaid when you compare it to salaries of police officers, fire fighters, teachers, etc.

The road goes both ways.

And he makes way more than $40 mil a year.

The fact that you think a man who plays a sport and makes more than $40 million/year is underpaid absolutely baffles me.

If that’s the argument, then I still don’t think I can agree with that.

Yes, the NBA caps his earnings. But the players agreed to this arrangement that prevents Lebrons from maxing out his earnings. With no salary restrictions, a team in a nothing market wouldn’t be able to pay a guy $10MM a year to come off the bench. You actually have less “exploitation (if that’s what we want to call it) right now by not allowing LeBron to earn whatever amount he’s actually worth.

Seems like Lebron accomplished his goal. Everyone is up in arms about it one way or the other.

I cannot wait for the next time the PA gets together and argues that there should be no max and that players like Lebron aren’t paid enough.

I actually agree that LeBron is underpaid, and probably by a considerable amount.

But it would be incredibly tone deaf (at the very best) if he ever claimed he was being exploited by the league.

Lebron could tear his acl tomorrow and never be the same player again. Poofffff, just like that the investment made by LA is all of a sudden upside down. He might be “underpaid” based off of market value and his “brand” and what he means to the NBA, but all of that can come crashing down in an isntant. And that’s why he’s compensated fairly, the threat of career ending injury exists every day.

And Im not directing this towards you personally, moreso the idiots in this thread actually thinking Lebron has a point. Lebron James is an incredibly ignorant human being and it’s a shame that someone with so little intelligence has such a giant platform to spread his “message”. LA couldnt have found a better poster boy.

That's why I said he wasn't exploited but simply underpaid

In fact those were my near exact words

Because I said LeBron is underpaid? That's a fact to anyone with any economic sense.

Or is it because I said slavery is often used today interchangeably with exploitation? Another fact.
