Is there actually some negative physical result of the Cofidis rider sitting on the back of the chasers? Or is it all just a mental thing?

The way the announcers talk about it it seems like it has some huge affect, when I’m reality I can’t see how it would affect them.

breakup the rhythm if they fall into rotation and follow any attacks that come. As you have noticed he is sitting 2nd wheel a bunch in order to disrupt any chase attempts.

Also it pisses the other riders off, so there is the mental aspect as well.

Okay, that makes more sense.
More of a disrupter than anything.

Cofidis is wrecking shite.

The stage played out pretty normally in the end with the break but the first half was nuts with Jumbo launching haymakers for some reason. It took half the stage for the final break to form.

At one point the yellow jersey group with the GC guys was tiny and caught between a large break and what I guess could be called the peloton. Jonas definitely seemed a little stressed at points during the first half of the stage.

What? Why would I melt? I mean Cofidis won two more stages this TdF than previous 16...why would I melt over the running joke of the past 16 years?

I am joking about the dissolution of the running cofidis joke you have had.

Well okay...

Maybe we can make Team EuroCar, Saxo-Tinkhoff, RaboBank (but they really are Jumbo-Visma now), Reynolds Wrap, or Motorola jokes

For some reason I want to think ONCE had a team at one time

The next three days are going to be insane. Really hard days ahead. I’m thinking nothing happens tomorrow outside of a attack late on the last climb. Going to be fantastic for us cycling fans.

Pog has the Strava KOM up Colombier at 43:43. I think they are going to absolutely blitz that time tomorrow.

Still getting the Quickstep team and the Deuekenenenickic team mixed up since they were once a super team for a few minutes a few years ago.
Still an Alaphilippe fan and wished 5 years ago he’d be a GC contender, but French and goes for the flair instead of the big picture and it was never to be.

I don’t think Ala could have ever competed on the long climbs in the Alps.

I don't have any memory at all of a Cofidis rider winning a stage at the TDF, until this year, and they've got two of them. I suppose the four horsemen will be saddling up pretty soon.

Good drinking game would be to watch Horner's video tonight and take a drink every time he says 'knucklehead'. He's all over a lot of the guys from today that were back and forth in the break, leaving their team leaders, etc.

Happy to see my LOOK bike winning stages. I have an older version of that 795 Mondrian Izagirre was riding. The 595 was my main road bike and still my favorite.
