But no one is doing that.
Yep. Similar to the Gobert trade in the NBA, just because one team is retarded, it doesn't mean the rest are.

It’ll be interesting to see if he is willing to take less money than the Ravens have offered to play elsewhere. If he does, then we’ll know that he didn’t actually want to return to Baltimore.

I've been out of the loop on this Lamar stuff, but didn't he turned down like $150 mil or some ridiculous number like that?
Before last season turned down 250 million with 175 million guaranteed
He wants 300 guaranteed

So he wants to help a team win a Super Bowl but also wants the largest guaranteed contract in NFL history cause he knows his value?
Dude is overrated, unrepresented, and will likely sit out this year and try and sue NFL for collusion.

It just seems like Dan Snyder is going to give him a fully guaranteed contract just to frick over the NFL on his way out
I am quite sure that any prospective buyers are telling him to not do anything of the sort

I'm sure there will be tons of teams lining up to negotiate a 200+ million dollar guaranteed deal plus two first round draft picks for a 26-year-old QB with an injury history, no agent, and the intelligence of a rock.

I cannot fathom how someone who grew up in poverty after his dad passed away could turn down that kind of money.

And this is where having no representation hurts him. He clearly doesn't understand that once you pass a threshold of a hundred million bucks, there really aint much difference lifestyle wise from 250 to 300. You're already rich as absolute frick. But he's probably got a bunch of people who have never negotiated an hourly salary, much less a 9 figure deal, in his ear telling him what he should or shouldn't do. It honestly sad.

Because the owners are racist and keeping him down.

The wildest part of it all to me is, NFL agents are only permitted to take in a max of 3% of negotiated playing contracts, making it a dumber decision for him to not just higher a lawyer to hammer out a deal for him, to insulate himself here. The savings here aren’t worth the hassle of going at it yourself.

Isn't he on a non-exclusive franchise tag? Not sure why he thinks why another team would agree to trade away what it would take to get him or offer him trump the non-excusive tag? 2 first round picks in exchange for a massive guaranteed contract for a guy who thinks he's worth way more than he is? Good luck Lamar.
May be about time for him to hire an agent.

This guy should speak less.

I think he's convinced himself he's worth more than Mahomes (in guarantees) just because the Browns were stupid and doesn't have anyone with common sense in his ear to talk some sense into him. I agree, it's sad. Dude is going to cost himself tens of millions in guaranteed money at this rate.

I had been on Lamar's side for a while, but pretty much flipped to Ravens' management. Imagine trying to negotiate a contract with someone like this.

This is the elephant in the room no one in the media wants to address. His best football is already behind him. He needs to be 2019 good every year to justify that outrageous deal he wants. I don't believe he will ever be that player again. He's going to be a league average QB when his running ability starts diminishing.
And yet as soon as he put the statement ESPN and the rest of the sports media said that "hE mUsT gO tO tHe fAlCoNs".
Yeah, how bout NO.

You know who’s absolutely loving this entire saga? Sports agents. When a customers asks why do I need to pay you, they point to Watson and his mom.

I would blame her this.
Lamar is a grown arse man. Blaming his mom is giving him an excuse.

The Deshaun Watson trade seems like a mistake at the moment, so this is not surprising.
