Based on what? Your fandom?

Go look at the schedules from last year. Look who Tech played. Look who Tulane played. Look at the common opponents and results. Tell me what the evidence is there that Tech would beat them, let alone "smoke them too".

Sad that we won't play Tech this year, but can't wait to dial into this game. Wouldn't count out Matt Viator on an upset. Looking for a Funbelt victory on this one.

People will bring more drama to this than there is. It is logistically the smartest choice. ULL folks already complaining in the replies on twitter.

* Both have open dates on the same day.

* Neutral field gives neither an obligation to return a game later on. Neither was getting a home game this day anyway. Between ULM and ULL options, ULM is easily more likely to go non-committal due to travel.

* ULM-Tech removes fan travel concerns. Many of the schedule changes are due to travel concerns related to the spread of COVID. This scheduling pits two teams in the same region against each other.

Those are all valid points of why the matchup makes sense no doubt

By all means, tell me how ULM is the “real UL”, despite having less than half the enrollment and a smaller athletic budget than ULL.

Neither school gets the title, but ULM isn’t even a top 5 school in the state in terms of size.

Look for LaTech to cancel due to covid-19 outbreak when 8-1 ULM team rolls into the week of Nov 21.

Miami (the U) wasn’t good this year but they couldn't even score a FG against Tech in Ibowl

Just messing around. Glad Tech is playing ULM. Makes sense to play this year. Would've been fine to play ULL too. I think Tech still has some open dates left, so maybe Tech will also play ULL.

Shite man, I thought ya'll had (or stole) the title. I mean I give ULL all the credit though since I guess ULM just played a perfect cuck and let ULL re-brand itself as UL without doing a fricking thing.

Maybe beating a Saban coached Bama makes you reconsider things.

Is that how y’all will kill your live mascot this time? Beheading?

Hate to interrupt your stupidity (believe me, we love to laugh at you Cajuns) but you do know that mascot died while he was mistakenly left outside while AT THE VET, right?
Speaking of hypocrites & killing mascots, I don’t hear anyone in Lafayette (PETA included) raising hell about the mysterious disappearance of ULL’s Flaming Pepper!!!! Even though it scared the hell outta kids, that thing was epic.....I bet it had feelings too! RIP poor pepper.

Why the hell would ULM care what UL wants to be called... only LSU people are pissed at this

The vet killed a mascot. Why is this brought up? Lack of anything substantial to discuss?

It was and the games were a complete bust.

No ULM fans showed up in Ruston or Monroe - at the last game at ULM, there were 17,000 people there 15,000+ were Tech fans. The year prior in Ruston there were MAYBE 300 ULM fans there.

The UL fans were in the grove watching the LSU game.
