I have no dog in the fight (pun intended) but you can be damn sure Tech wasn't going to take an unnecessary risks in playing the school up the road they look down upon.

Tech finally plays ULM when they're especially shitty. Beats them then says see we dont need to ever play them again

Tech would beat the brakes off every Louisiana team. Except LSU of course

Same thing with Northwestern State & Grambling but you play them and others like them all the time.

sucks this is what it took to make this happen finally. also sucks this is gonna be a down (i guess normal at this point) year for us so we're no doubt gonna get boat raced. Hopefully this opens the door to make this at least a somewhat normal series again

Would enjoy watching ULL-Tech this season.

Yes, Tulane was better than Tech last year. Tech’s record has been strong the last couple of seasons, but Tech fans don’t seem to realize how soft C-USA has gotten.

This sounds like the “bleeding vagina“ type LSU fans referring to scheduling Tech.
No matter the result, Tech still looks like bitches for bailing out on the Independence Bowl (waiting for a “better bowl” that never materialized).
Tech wins big fwiw.

Bullshite. Tech would smoke any Sunbelt school including App. St.

People will bring more drama to this than there is. It is logistically the smartest choice. ULL folks already complaining in the replies on twitter.
* Both have open dates on the same day.
* Neutral field gives neither an obligation to return a game later on. Neither was getting a home game this day anyway. Between ULM and ULL options, ULM is easily more likely to go non-committal due to travel.
* ULM-Tech removes fan travel concerns. Many of the schedule changes are due to travel concerns related to the spread of COVID. This scheduling pits two teams in the same region against each other.

Well to start, you have shown your ignorance in thinking Tulane is in the Sunbelt.
