Only throwing. Not running 40.
Weighed in at 205lb.

Found this quote on Twitter:

1. Every other player at the combine has a wingspan 1-2 inches longer than his height. Kyler Murray's wingspan: 5-9.

I also noticed from the combine measurements that his wing span is short.

I mean Murray is only 5'7" so he still fits that criteria.

Its pretty clear Kyler Murray is an HGH kid from when he was younger

Its why he has that dwarf look to him

And this is 100% serious and not me joking

Why does wingspan matter for a QB? Serious question.

I think people assume it's either an indication that he somehow gamed the system with his height or something weird is going on that he is the only player with a shorter wingspan than height.

I feel like this may be one of the least relevant measurements in of a NFL QB. Pretty confident that Phillip Rivers has a much longer wing span, and perhaps a lower release point.

I heard he hung upside down for like 2 months before the combine. He didn't throw because his oxygen levels in his brain were all messed up.

At his height, he's going to have to throw the ball over his head. I guess Wingspan would come into play there.

Here's Russell Wilson's release point to illustrate what I'm trying to say.

If I had to guess, yes

Legally though. Kids can get it prescribed to help with growth. Not at all unique to young kids that show athletic promise but seem to be smaller

I’m not certain it’s HGH exactly, but’s is prescribed hormones/steroids to promote growth

Know of multiple people that took it in youth

Not common, but also not unheard of for boys in the 13yr - 16yr age group. Other kids are sprouting up, while yours isn't. Throw on top of that your ambitions of having him become a professional athlete, and you have a kid on growth hormones.

Yeh I don’t want to say it’s common, but it’s not unheard of by any means

And the people I know who did it, all ended up with the look Murray has

I wonder if he bulked up so much he isn’t comfortable running at that weight?

Perhaps he’ll run during private workouts when he can drop down to a different weight

Absolutely. I think he wanted to make it seem like he's big enough to take hits so he went on the opposite plan from everyone else at the combine; he didn't try and get faster or more in shape. He went the opposite way and gained a ton of weight to be over 200

There's a reason he's not running; the only other reason is his straight line speed isn't good anyway (I think he's a 4.5 guy for sure, but not a 4.3 guy)

Can't imagine anyone needs him to run the 40 to know he's fast.
