btw, Lebron is averaging 29.4/8.3/7.3 in the playoffs over his career.

Last year he put up that terrible, 35.3/9.1/7.3 in the playoffs. But that was only against "shite" regular season competition . That is why your statement was retarded.

Tim Duncan, the best player on four championship teams (Parker really didn't deserve the MVP in 07). Kobe ain't got shite on Timmay.

Kobe. I hate this debate. Kobe is the best pure player in the NBA. He can make any shot on the floor with anyone guarding him at any point in the game. Going to the hoop and throwing it down - ill give that to Lebron. Hes just an athletically gifted freak.

Lebron being an athletically gifted freak at this point makes him the better player. It doesn't really matter how "pure" his game is, he's going to get points, rebounds, and assists every night.

He's the CLEAR cut MVP

This debate is a good basketball IQ barometer IMO. Lebron has separated himself to such a great extent over the past two seasons that there are really only two ways to believe Kobe is still the best player:

1. Ignorance. These are the types of people who don't really follow the NBA, maybe watch a couple of nationally televised games every few months, and mistakenly still believe that Kobe is some dominant force.

2. Kobe fan-boyism.

Lebron. You frickers act like Lebron is about to retire. He has not reached his prime yet!. He will have multiple titles when his career is done and will have done this while being the most scrutinized player in the history of sports. No one has been put under the pressure this kid has. Oh yeah, Kobe has been the man on 1 championship team. That was the shaqtus who carried the first three titles.

If you give Lebron Shaq in his prime, i promise you he has 3 championships. Shaq averaged 27+ ppg and 10+ rebounds per game in the playoffs those 3 years

I also agree, except replace Kobe with Lebron

People who dont follow the NBA see the sportscenter top 10 and see the highlight reels and posterizing dunks lebron delivers..which yes are impressive and bad arse. Those who follow and understand basketball see that Kobe's game is truly a thing of beauty...the way he finds shots, can takes over a game, and can be a leader on the floor.

There really isn't much else to say. One player is about to complete one of the greatest statistical seasons of all time, win NBA player of the month for every month during the season for the first tome ever, and unanimously win his second consecutive MVP. The other player just shot less than 40% in January and sat out most of Feb. I really don't see how any objective person can take player B

its not that easy champ...and Kobe has been hurt. take a little consideration.

not to mention the side facts no one speaks of. people always bitch because lebron is surrounded by nobodies and kobe has an incredible surrounding cast...IMO this is advantageous to Lebron because he doesnt need to share the ball, he can take over the game single handedly. Kobe has numerous other players he dishes the ball to and still puts up remarkable numbers and gets the W. Put Kobe on a team with less talent and he'll be the star too.
