That no one should hear that their love one has perished from TMZ.

The video of the wreckage shows the incident happened at what looks like an intersection and the sheriff referred to it as the intersection of _____ and willow and referred to it as the Willow incident. I don’t know if I’m right but the phrasing is odd.

I also liked the sheriff for getting on to people about trusting tmz

Interesting the fire chief mentioned magnesium in the fire. Guessing that’s a component of helicopter fuel?

Yes it’s sounding like Kobe’s family learned of his death through the media.

Seeing the supposed copter it looked bigger than holding just 5. Fearing that it included more teammates and parents. God awful tragedy

TMZ is pretty damn credible these days, but their morals are questionable at best.

2:40 PM PT -- Officials say they believe 9 people were on board -- 1 pilot and 8 passengers -- and there were no survivors. Still unclear why the chopper crashed but an investigation is under way.

Update posted to OP.. Took my son for a bike ride so I haven’t been keeping up, any other major details released? I’m assuming not, since I haven’t gotten any notifications..

Did they say what they think happened? I heard it may have been foggy but it looked like the copter went down and didn’t run into a mountain or something.

It caused a small brush fire. Any brush fires/wildfires are named by the area or road in which it started.

On ABC, they said 9 people died.

Jalen Rose really impressed my family with his perspective.

Exactly.. If TMZ knew, then a lot of LEO that responded knew also.. It’s quite possible one of them notified TMZ..
