All 4 daughters could not have been killed if there are 5 people on board unless Kobe was flying the helicopter

One daughter was recently born, so she's probably with the mom

So 5 people would be pilot, Kobe and 3 oldest daughters???

Yes. I remember a reporter tried to bait him on the Travon Martin situation, and he responded with something like "let's just let the authorities collect all the evidence and allow the system to work." Dude was legit.

Crying over a player. Are we in bizarro world. Have you not lost a best friend, a parent, a close relative? Grandparents? That achieved a shite ton on their own.

Grieving for somebody you don't know???

this has to be the biggest celebrity death since.... ?

only athletes I can think of like this are Roberto Clemente, Pete Maravich, and Payne Stewart. But none of those even come close to the stature of Kobe. So sad

Like any news it's probably not that accurate for a few hours.

Not exactly sure why, but this news has me shook. More so than previous tragic incidents with celebrities or even the Carly McCord tragedy involving our LSU brethren. I'm guessing just for the fact that Kobe Bryant is a legend. Sad.

Shaw was like a big brother to Kobe when he first came into the nba

yeah, I remember. I'm Kobe's age and was a pretty big Laker fan back then. it was just the coolest shite to me that a guy was graduating HS the same time I was and going off to play with the Lakers.

Byron Scott, who was my favorite Laker growing up, came back for a little while when Kobe first got there and was a big brother too.

I remember the airball jumpers vs Utah when he was a rookie in the playoffs. and the alley oop to Shaq in 00 vs the Blazers. and just all kinds of stuff. this is nuts.

Twitter Saying Rick fox was on the helicopter

Sad, but that's a relief if true because Vanessa still has her children.

This is so surreal, I can't believe this, I guess the saying's true in many respects "Only the good die young" RIP Mamba, a true legend of sports and life
