Was watching MLB Network and they showed it live. Bryce Harper got hit in the face a few weeks back.

That stuff is so scary.

Yikes! Definitely a broken nose.

In the words of the late, great Gordon Solie: "And he's wearing a crimson mask!"

It’s gonna continue to be a problem unfortunately. So many pitchers throwing high 90’s but have zero control

Need to allow some sort of agreed upon substance for the pitchers

I saw a kid take a 70ish MPH fastball to the face while
I was catching. Blood pouring out as he was spitting up teeth kneeled over home plate. Can’t even imagine what a 90+ fastball from a major league pitcher to the face would be like. Hope Pillar is okay, Webb can shake that guilt.

Yep that’s what John Smoltz was saying after the Bryce Harper HBP.

He was going off on how organizations are refusing to teach these guys how to pitch and just tell them to throw as hard as they can

Mets injuries continue, we may get all the way to Duplantis.

ETA: He is hitting .310 w/ Brooklyn

It’s sad what baseball has become.

“Throw ball hard”
“Hit ball hard”
The end.

If I ever experienced that I’d be a nervous wreck at the plate from then on. Those guys are tough.

Jason Heyward was never the same.
Has had a respectable career for sure, but taking one to the jaw early pretty much wrecked him.

Perhaps I'm over reacting because I hate Rob Manfred so much....but this crap falls on him and the other idiots in the league office. They been talking about cracking down on foreign substances and as a result I'm afraid you're going to see more of this.
