Yeh people are arguing against themselves in here

They are admitting way more teams have an opportunity to win in the nfl, and then saying it’s harder....

Is it easier to go 16 wins 12 losses in the NBA or 3-0 or 4-0 in the NFL?

Basketball is less predictable game to game, but you can't have a bad game in the NFL or it's over.

NBA champions since 2000
9 out of 30 = 30% of NBA teams have won since 2000

Super Bowl Winners since 2000
13 out of 32 = 41% of NFL teams have won since 2000

And that’s mainly due to one of the all time best players winning on three different teams

Kinda giving a false sense of parity

There's currently nine franchises who have never won a championship in the NBA. There's six NFL franchises who have never won a championship. There's six NBA franchises who have never been to the NBA Finals. There's only three NFL franchises who have never been to a NFL Championship and/or Super Bowl. It's easier for teams at the top to win in the NBA than the NFL but it's much more difficult for the average NBA team to win a championship than it is in the NFL. There are NBA franchises who have been immaculately run over the years like the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets and neither of those franchises have ever won a championship. In the NFL, a franchise of that caliber would eventually break through and win one.

Basketball and baseball tournaments are harder to win.

I don’t see how you can say it’s harder when you’re just 1-2 players away like in the NBA.

This makes the NBA a much more player driven league and if your team isn't in a nice location it is going be hard to get those players.

How many great players are clamoring to go to Detroit, Cleveland, Toronto, Atlanta, OKC, etc?

Last few super teams have been in California, Miami, or NYC.

Its extremely rare, if ever, in the NBA a middling team wins the title. Yet, it happened this year in the NFL and happens somewhat regularly

Obviously you don't understand what a " middling" NFL team is.

You’ve got 2 NBA franchises with a total of 20 titles since the Super Bowl era started yet still there are 15 more NBA champs during that time frame. By comparison the NFL only has 20 total winners with the most for a franchise being 6 and the top 3 combined still having fewer than the top 2 in the NBA. The NBA has 4 teams with as many or more than any NFL team but the NFL has more multi time winners. The NBA has always been more top heavy and easier to purchase a title while the NFL has always had more parity and balance.

Having more teams with the ability to beat you MAKES IT HARDER TO WIN.

There is absolutely no risk of the top 2 NBA teams preseason not making it at least to the conference finals.

Its very easy to win in the NBA. You dont even need a fricking front office or coaches on the floor if you can get 3 or 4 people to sign on your team.

Thats easy.

They were the second best team on paper in their conference. Let it go.

11 out of 32 teams have an equivalent record or better

Finish second in your own division

That seems almost perfect for “middling”

When, if ever, has an nba team with a regular season record in the same scenario won a title?

They didn't gel until later but any team with Brady and Gronk and all those studs isn't "middling"

Yeah if you aren’t on one of the 3 super teams in the NBA, you’re never going to win one.

The only way it’s possibly “harder” in the NBA is because you can stack a team easier and the rest of the league has almost no shot to beat you in a series.

One bad game in the NFL playoffs and it’s over. I still think the 2018 Chiefs were more talented than the Pats but shite happens.

agree somewhat.

The best player in the NBA Finals usually wins the title. Not the case in the NFL.

However, you have to basically have a top 3-5 player at the very least to even sniff an NBA title and a lot of that is based on luck.

Lebron lost to the Spurs and Mavs in the finals. I’m not a big Lebron fan, but he was better than anyone on either of those teams
