Arrowhead is iconic but the location is complete shite
There is absolutely nothing around that area
Ultimately is probably good for them

There is more to do in the empty parking lots around arrowhead than there is to do in Kansas City Kansas.

My only knock with Kaufman was the lack of anything around it. If they had done a better job of putting things in that area I don’t think either team would be moving.
I’m sure both would probably still want new stadiums but I imagine there’s enough space there to make it work if they had other things to do around it. If they’re going to the legends area there’s already a shite ton around there. I imagine they will build it up some more but you don’t have to do as much.
Kansas is offering bonds where they recoup the money from a sales tax imposed on sales made in an area around the stadium. With as much shite as they have there that shouldn’t be much of a problem. Still would rather the hunts pony up but there’s a lot worse ways to go about it.

So tired of domes. They pussify the sport.

Will the Chiefs still be Kansas City Chiefs or Kansas Chiefs?

Add the Browns and the Broncos to the list.
But but but…they may get to host a final four someday

Arrowhead is probably five miles from the Kansas border. Other than shifting some municipal bureaucracy from ghetto arse St. Louis to the leafy suburbs around Overland Park, I don't really see why this matters.
huh?

Since the Jets and Giants are both still NY I would assume they will remain the KC Chiefs.

1. Why would they pay when they can get the cities to do it?
Valid question and the answer is they don’t

2. It makes no sense for an owner to spend a billion on a stadium in Kansas City where it wont get much use outside of football. Owners paid for stadiums in LA and Vegas because they can make money on the stadium from other events or by developing the land around it.
Then the cities should get cuts from the gate fees in addition to leasing fees from the teams.

It's kind of amazing that the NFL will kill its golden goose (aka the TV product) by its own self infliction.
And it's only going to get worse.
Denver
Philly
Chicago
KC
DC
Jax
Cleveland
All are planning or want domes.
Add that to:
Vegas
Minnesota
Dallss
Houston
Arizona
Indy
Detroit
LA
New Orleans
That's going to be half the league and most cold weather spots, which create the best TV atmosphere and actually play on grass, that are antiseptic toilet bowl shaped nothingness.
This will also make the few open air cold weather teams have even more if a gigantic home field advantage in the playoffs.
NE
NY
Buffalo
Green Bay
Baltimore
Cincinatti
Pittsburgh
That's basically going to be it. What a complete sham. fricking soccer doesn't even do this.

If the cuck pieces of shite in kansas want to use their tax payer money to pay for the construction of a new stadium for the 25 billion dollar Hunt family that owns the Chiefs, go for it. We good over here.
Kansas vs Missouri is an underrated state v state rivalry

It really is
I’m glad the border war between KU and Mizzou is picking up steam again. Those two schools actually fricking hate each other. KU and K State is oddly civil. Being an SEC guy it’s always confused me.

Buffalo Bills is the only franchise with the nuts to build a new outdoor stadium for a winter climate. Salute to them

Bills also knew there was a likely near zero chance of them getting a Super Bowl anyway.

Getting a Super Bowl or two is going to make it worth it. They’ll eventually host a Final Four in there too.
Every NFL stadium above the Mason-Dixon needs to be domed. Football games should be decided by competition between the two teams, not the weather.

Later that year I got in an heated argument with a teacher because she claimed Kansas City was in Kansas, not Missouri, after all it was in the city’s name.

Mahomes wont take his first snap on the Kansas side until he’s 36 years old

If the bills built a dome Roger and the nfl was creaming in their pants for a Buffalo/TORONTO area Super Bowl, which is exactly how it would have been labeled and likely put in a rotation and not a 1 time thing
