Anything short of banning the Clippers from going into the luxury tax for the next 10 years and forcing Ballmer to sell is not enough. Salary cap circumventing is probably the most egregious form of cheating in sports and the hammer needs to drop on anyone caught doing it.

This was my take the day this stuff broke and it was not popular around here.

On what planet does he not have to sell the team? He shouldn’t own the team in the first place.

Amazing, the guy purchased the franchise the same way.

The Clippers having 2 owners in a row lose the franchise, only to be sold twice for record amounts, would be so hilarious given their history.

Unless they don’t want their sugar baby showing up to games with guys most likely plowing her.

Then they must sell.

Put different, the left chooses who has to sell their team as punishment. I’d like for the left to not determine things like this.

The reporting was from almost a year ago and Pablo already won a Pulitzer before the NBA has even started doing anything

Yes

I can’t think of a bigger sports story that has been buried this hard.

Ive asked about/surmised that the league values someone THIS wealthy owning a team so much that they’ve just swept it all under the rug.

Idk what’s going on with it but my spidey-senses went nuts the day the story came out.

Exactly. Prime examples: Michigan and the Astros. Proven cheaters, no real repercussions, and keep their titles.

Shohei Ohtani betting on sports was a pretty big one
