It was a fricking baseball. Worthless in the grand scheme of things. Pick your battles.
And a good lesson in karma is learned in the long run. The boy actually ended up with an experience way better than one baseball and the psycho bitch is now public enemy number one. So sometimes taking the chill route is the way to go

I don't see why giving her the ball back is taking the high road. Seems like it's just rewarding her bad behavior. Just tell her she's not getting the ball & she's needs to go back to her seat. What the hell can she do about it?
