Send all the Football athletes a bill for their tuition, books, housing, and meals. Also, they don’t get first priority to schedule classes they want. They scheduled like the regular students. Until we start calling their bluffs this shite will continue

what's the end game? They can't expel the student, first amendment issues. Do they just get a wealthy booster to pay the kid to drop out?

Also does anyone know any A&M undergrads that might not being going back in the fall, that want to make some money posting on twitter?

You are disconnected from reality. They would remove scholarships for all white students before they removed the football scholarships.

You seriously don't understand who has the power now. That student will get kicked out.

appropriate for them to hold that kind of power? The power to have someone kicked out of school because you didn’t like something they said?

And if they succeed in getting this guy kicked out, they’ll cost the school a bundle in a lawsuit in all likelihood.

I wish some admin at the school would say "the student's statement is protected by the First Amendment and there's nothing we can do about it."

Time to find a random picture of an Alabama student and say some borderline shite on twitter.

Actually the reality that this is remotely possible and could actually work exemplifies the absurdity of all this

Saw a former KSU player (David Conley) lose his shite on twitter about this and other issues. I think he’s deleted some of his posts. Basically, all white men are bad, you’re racist if you disagree, etc, etc.

The scariest part of what is going on right now is people who think they are educated bestowing their own set of discriminatory beliefs upon athletes.

So where does it end?

Players get into a bar fight with a fraternity and the team goes on strike until the charter is revoked?

If some non-athlete steals a popular player's girlfriend they can go on strike until he gets expelled?

A professor who gives a bad grade is fired or the team won't play?

This is the problem with cancel culture. There’s not consistency.

When Penn State’s scandal hit, the most heinous thing someone could do was molest children. Of course, that’s terrible. But cancel culture actively sought out these people. Fine.

Then the Ray Rice situation brought domestic abuse to the forefront. Suddenly molesting kids wasn’t as bad as abusing a spouse or partner.

Now, it’s racism. If you are three generations removed from a racist, you need to be cancelled. People are spending hours on twitter trying to find a hint of racism on someone. If it’s not there, they make it up.

Somewhere in here was homophobia. If you didn’t support gay marriage because of religious beliefs, cancelled!

The joke is on KSU. 5 players arrested in one week in March. They all appear to be receiving second chances, and you won’t hear more of it.

Not just what you mentioned.

Soledad O'Brien blew the whistle on CNN. Jeff Zucker ordered her not to talk to black people about bad experiences with police, and an unnamed executive told her to have only the "right kind of black" guests on her show. That's Level 5 racism but they get a pass.

Bingo. This culture has made people think more about color than ever before. The goal of harmony is farther away than it was last year, 5 years ago, and 10 years ago.

The school should go extreme like you do with kids when they act irrational.
Call all the players in with administration and coaches and then talk about their feelings and make them get up and talk About how it hurts their feelings. Constant hugs and crying and telling them their feelings are important. Bring in some of their non football friends from home to share in front of.
Then at the end tell them they're is nothing the school can do.

The players have this power because they aren't able to openly negotiate monetary compensation. The university has to bend over to cater to their needs in other ways.

If KState was giving them the most competitive overall monetary compensation then they wouldn't have striking power because they too would stand to lose money. As it stands right now, players are basically doing the university a favor by going there.

BTW, I'ma liberal, but I think the speed limit is set intentionally low so that they can selectively enforce it. It works too. They've got ya'll scattering like roaches, shining shoes, apologizing, getting fired, etc. It's undoubtably a powerful political weapon.
