Refusing to play football because of a lone students opinion at a college is my favorite fake outrage of the week

A&M will join this anytime now. Baws and some football players came to near blows over a statue yesterday

Good for those athletes finally realizing how much power they hold.

And what power is that? Have a student kicked out for saying a joke?

You people are idiots.

Is it appropriate for them to hold that kind of power? The power to have someone kicked out of school because you didn’t like something they said?

And if they succeed in getting this guy kicked out, they’ll cost the school a bundle in a lawsuit in all likelihood.

A season without football will make people realize how little they really need to get drunk and waste their Saturdays watching TV. These players better hope there is a season.

I've gone from near panic at the thought of losing football to being pretty meh about it.

Agreed. I am starting to think that a season without football may do us some good. Hell, make it two. Let these guys go out and get a real job. If they can.

You can’t be serious

They are saying they won’t play football (which many are on scholarships for) because they don’t like what some dumbass student said on Twitter. It’s an absurd situation.

Bruh, just wait until there is no season. I hope COVID mania burns it all to the ground.

Agreed. Will do people some good. Less excuses for folks to be fat and unproductive for a quarter of the year.

The fact that people still think fans will be at games is incredible

They won't play then. Kansas State is a public university. They cannot expel a student for an offensive joke. If they did, the kid would sue, be readmitted and collect a ton of money in damages. And anyone who has followed the kid's reaction to this knows he isn't backing down. I actually think he's a master troll who's daring KSU to do what the mob wants.

They want one of their peers kicked out of school for telling a joke on the internet they didn’t like, in complete violation of his first amendment rights.

What is wrong with you?

So, you aren't going to do the only thing you're good at?

I have some experience with this because of how shitty South Carolina is at the sport.

Fall is a great time to do other things outside.

A drop in the bucket compared to money they'd lose if they can't field a football team this season and in years to come.
