I guess Kaep did make Flacco money last year by losing to him in the Super Bowl

What's so crazy about that? Flacco is terrible and is paid a ton, why not Kaep?

They better save that money to keep that 49ers defense intact because without it they are nothing. Colon is a shitty QB hiding behind that defense and a lot of talent. If they start losing starters on defense to free agency they are fricked.

Welcome to the nfl. You can't hit WRS, and QB contracts that will handcuff your franchise.

Such as Dashon Goldson? His replacement is his superior. As long as they keep drafting well, they'll be just fine. Lemonier and Carradine will be the next DL freaks.

Besides, Kaep has enough existing flaws and his struggles to start the year were the best thing to happen for the Niners org with respect to a contract.

If you want to talk about a QB contract crippling a team's ability to spend in other areas of need, I have a great example for you though.

You're wasting your time. The Kaep hate on here is as comical as it is illogical.

Kap will not get paid like Flacco IMO. I hope the 49ers don't pay him more than 12 million per year. Still have him under contract for one year, hopefully they draft a qaulity backup for development.

Eric is better in coverage than him, yes. But surprisingly hasn't been as good at layin the lumber like Goldson does. I give Eric a pass because I know he can and this is his first season, but he's gonna have to start intimidating like Goldson did. Other than that he is a better all around player.

I don't know how big your SF sample size is but Reid already hits pretty hard and Goldson is a personal foul machine. That's kind of a weak criticism.

I agree with you.

I don't think Kaep will get a contract as high as what Flacco received. He does have plenty of flaws to his game, and I'm sure that would be pointed out.

SF, you bastards, also draft really well. Could be set for a long time, but I hope not

If you could read correctly. I already said in my statement that I know Reid is a hard hitter. He just hasn't shown much of it yet this season because he has displayed his ball skills more this season for San Fran. Once he starts to intimidate with hits like Goldson did, he'll make AllPro annually.
