I got downvoted to hell and back for posting this take a few years ago. Herbert is the most overrated player in the league and I really don't think anyone is close.

Herbert is the only qb on my fantasy football team. I was hoping McDaniel could fix him. I picked up Jaxson Dart this morning and put him on my bench just in case Herbert pissed the bed again this week. Glad I did after seeing multiple starting qbs go down with injuries

He’s the prototypical QB. All the measurables and look.

He’s Hercules in stature with a mediocre football brain and a lack of “that dawg” in him. Most overrated QB. Makes Harblow’s overly sexual preening about him all the more absurd.

I don't think it's a skill issue, just don't think he cares as much as some. I seem to remember whispers of that being an issue with him when he was coming out.
In contrast, Joe Burrow was on Ja'Marr Chase's podcast recently and effectively said he's not even thinking about a family or life outside of football right now. I think that's a bit extreme, but I get where he's coming from.
