Give Mac Jones an actual OC, a decent WR and a decent OL and he would be the best of that class.

Mac was okay today and hit the open throws he needed to make but threw a heinous pick six in Jets territory right before the half that got called back because of a garbage roughing the passer penalty.

Right after that Bill went into super conservative mode and played for the field goal to end the half. They keep trying to open the offense more for Mac but he makes enough bad decisions to show he's not ready to start slingin it yet. Plus he's always going to be a sack magnet so he really has to prove he can make the bigtime throws from the pocket.

Davis Mills May be the best of that whole class.

Fields had a great game last week. Didn’t watch him today. But every other game I’ve seen him play in, he has been terribly inaccurate. The bad part is that when he does throw it to his receivers, they are so surprised they drop the ball.

In reality, all the QBs are bad. Although I’ll admit, I haven’t seen much of Lawrence.

It’s his 18th start in his second system. He’s showing the growth you need to see.

Meh, I halfway give him a pass bc he has such shite weapons and a shite system around him. But he's not developed to the point a franchise QB should be. But he is improving.

In the NFL once a new QB reaches a certain level of success, opposing teams start to learn what he is good at. Then, usually in the playoffs, a defensive coordinator comes up with a great gameplan to take away what the young QB likes to do and all the teams copy that plan. The second step in an NFL QBs development is learning how to overcome that defensive gameplan. Fields isn't there yet. He hasn't shown enough good on tape for opposing teams to develop the book on him. He's starting to get into a rhythm but teams will adjust.

Look at Kyler Murray. He is trying to learn to overcome what the defenses are doing to him.

Lawrence, Wilson, and Fields are still in the first phase of development. They are just trying to learn how to win games in the NFL. You can say they don't have help around them but it doesn't change that they are playing at a really low level.

Or maybe people want more than a couple game sample size to determine who is the best in a draft class?

I'm still here. He's still 1-3 in his last 4 games and has SEVEN passing TD's on the year. Just because he can scramble some doesn't make him some elite QB. I feel like I'm reading the script to ESPN's "Get Up" from some of these comments. Two good games in a row? Wow, crown him.

shite on his WR's all you want, but he has the best running game in the league. Let's not forget about that and how it helps him a ton and makes his job easier.

It’s not just his last two games. He was the best player on the field vs the Vikings. Had a beautiful 45 yard TD run scratched from a tik tak call. Was marching the team down the field for a winning drive before an awful fumble by a WR who since got cut.

With young QBs you want to see week over week growth. You can’t say the same about anyone else from that draft class.

Also bringing up the Bears record is irrelevant. They’re in a rebuild. The same logic would praise Wilson for the Jets positive record.

It’s helped so much that he is the most sacked QB in the league by a considerable margin.

His OL is absolute arse in the passing game and he throws to a worse WR group than he did in college.

Fields is like Phil Rivers back in the day
Starts out horrible and then puts up good numbers when defenses sit back in semi prevent.

nah. lances team was a contender for a playoff spot. admittedly a couple key guys were out at first. they are still a contender for a playoff spot. without him.
ps.
