If you should find yourself on trial i hope you get a jury full of people that feel the same way. Jesus christ

They want dumb ones, it helps the defense with their chewbacca theories.

Explain what it means to be under oath? Are they fricking simple minded?

If you're innocent you want a smart jury, you want them to get it right.
If you're guilty you want a dumb jury, you want them to get it wrong.

I was on a Jury, and to say that it's a joke would be putting it kindly.
They wanted to let the guy off, because he was older, and has learned. Was a DWI/concealed weapon case. He tried to hide the shotgun, by sliding cooler lid over it. Drunk+gun=Bad news. And of course, the only 2 NRA members made the jury, out of 200. I lol'd, they were NEVER going to find him guilty of any gun charge that wasn't murder, plus he was white, he couldn't of been concealing anything. LOL
I went into dick mode and made them all look stupid. One juror said, that the beer, which was cold, was cold because the A/C was hitting it and keeping it cold, like Lawyer said. Most of you know how brutal Summer days, with humidity are, no beer, with windows open, is staying cold by an ac vent blowing on it. That shite is luke warm in minutes because of heat and humidity. Driver claimed he opened it when he left Country(had a house he fished and hunted at), and he was in his last mile of his 45 minute trip, LOLOL and that beer story.

I got to serve on a jury a couple of years ago. Attempted murder.
Very glad my fellow jurors didnt share your druthers regarding evidence. Good grief. The fact that there are people like you out there is frightening.

My friend served on a jury for a physician who was charged for illegally prescribing controlled substances. A juror, during deliberations, said “They keep saying controlled substances but I don’t think that doctor was in control.” SMH

They are specifically picked because they are stupid.

When I got picked for mine, it was out of a pool of 87 people. I wasn't specifically trying to get picked or not get picked, just answer honestly and and tbh satisfy some of my curiosity about the general process.
At first it was a PITA to have been picked, but I quickly got over it. The whole thing was fascinating from start to finish. Very glad for the experience.

Nothing would be more frightening then being judged by a "jury of your peers."
Prosecutors don't want the best and brightest on the jury, they don't want College educated people or professionals...because they certainly don't want you to think anything different from what they are telling you.
Smart enough to follow directions and the law but not smart enough to challenge anything the prosecution is saying.

You are bragging about being a hard arse on some old man who popped a couple tops on his drive in the countryside to his camp?
Did he run over someone or blow a 2.0 or something?
