Just like some of you swore up and down that they would make it this year right? It's some big ole conspiracy. Saban owning LSU throughout his run at Alabama has warped the brains of some of you.
Alabama was correctly left out and Saban was very clearly a homer in his reaction to it with his SOS conspiracy and whining.

Maybe pay closer attention next time.

Everyone focused on the DI impact here when I don’t think it will have a huge effect on the current players and structure - JUCO is not as popular an option as it used to be, seems rare to have a legit player go through JUCO these days, but that will quickly change

The real story here would be a dagger to DII schools talent. Why would anyone go FCS and burn up eligibility when you can go JUCO for 2 years without even starting your clock

While this ruling does specifically apply to only Pavia, the flood gates are open and the NCAA can’t do anything to stop it.

Bingo

The next step is the doing away with any time limitations on eligibility. Meaning as long as a player is enrolled as a student they will be eligible to play sports for 6, 7, 8+ years.

Only a small % of players make it and have lengthy careers in the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. That means you are soon going to start seeing "professional" career college athletes.

The prohibition on enforcement of the 2x transfer rule (i.e. players had to sit out a year if they transferred a second time) was a temporary injunction/restraining order too. It never went further in the courts because the NCAA saw the writing on the wall that a permanent injunction was next. They accepted the inevitable and changed the rule requiring 2x transfers to sit a year.

That's what's going to happen here. Today, JUCO years won't count towards the 4 year eligibility rule. Tomorrow the 4 year eligibility rule will be abolished and players will be eligible indefinitely

That would actually bring with it the potential for regulation.

Right now, no matter how many times some bozo comes on here spouting the "novel solution" of "capping NIL" and/or "forcing players to sit out a year upon transferring" NIETHER are going to happen. So rather than continuing to demand change that can't and won't happen, it's time to start looking towards realistic potential solutions.

And the person to run college football should be Nick Saban. I'd say he has the respect of most players, as well as the rest of the college football world. Not many others would have a better grasp on what the game needs.

Saban straight up said he wants FBS to only be the "best" 40 teams. He can get fricked w/that bullshite.

OJ Simpson was a two-year JUCO All
American at San Francisco City College, 1965-66. He was so good that there were schools in the SEC that recruited him to be the first black player to play in the SEC.

He wisely chose to go to SC, where he earned All America honors and went on to a stellar career in the NFL, Hollywood and as a double-murderer.

if done right, juco's could align with colleges and be a farm system for them. nil cash for the juco kids and more as they develop.

it could help the qb's, which desperately need to be better. the nfl is full of bad qb's.

Whether you like it or not, this will be a reality in the near future.

Part of the beauty of it is you don’t have to follow all 130+. I don’t give two craps what’s happening in the Mac because it will never affect me outside of a random bowl game if ULM ever decides to be eligible again. Big west? Couldn’t care less. I keep up with LSU, ULM, the top teams/games and that’s it. Couldn’t be happier

Lions get a handful of juco baseball players every year. Most of them compete for starting time. I’m guessing they are walking in as freshmen at 19-21 now. This is crazy.

We are approaching total anarchy. Organized sports need rules. On the field and off the field structurally
