100% serious, please do.

It 100% comes off as a scam. They copy/pasted a bunch of their website material directly from LSUE, even forgetting to remove “LSUE” in a few spots.

They advertise tuition is like $15,000/year. I assume the scam is they tell parents since they’re new they’re only offering partial scholarships so Brackstynn can still continue his baseball career for a discounted tuition of like $7000/year. Stupid parents/kids fall for it because they get to be a college athlete but are really earning a worthless degree since they have no accreditation.

I think you pretty much got it.

I can’t imagine this university will last for long.

At this point quite a few college degrees are worthless depending on your major

Imagine growing up playing travel ball, high school baseball, and then ending your career at John Melvin.
Yuck!

It’s in Crowley, La and my niece played softball for them this pass yr. It is an on-line only school, softball team only fielded 9 players with no bench, they played a season but my niece dropped out because it was not well funded or organized.

The next Liberty University. A retread coach will go there and win 7 or 8 games and they will eventually play in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl.

It’s a non-accredited university. A kid I coached in HS played baseball there last year and the NCAA treated it as a gray shirt year because they aren’t affiliated with anyone or anything. None of the credits you take transfer. It’s a Ponzi scheme

This is the founder of the school.

This entire thing seems like a scam. I can’t believe parents and coaches are allowing their kids to go to “school” here. It’s time to give it up and attend a real university or a trade school.

Anyone who attends this school and anyone who pays for their kid to attend this school is a certifiable retard. If your kid has to go to John Melvin to extend his or her athletic career another year, they suck and need to grow up like millions of other kids who graduate high school every year and stop being athletes.

I wouldn’t admit that I share a gene pool with someone who attended that school.

Yes…I have 2 relatives by marriage playing baseball for JMU….and yes, they are playing just to say they are playing “college” ball. The parents are are all over social media bragging about their college baseball athletes. None of these kids were recruited in high school or made even 3rd team all district. For reference, JMU took the baseball team to Buffalo Wild Wings on a field trip to watch MLB opening day!! Yes…the school used the term “field trip” on social media!! The place is total scam…
