It's a shame it can't be the right to remain silent/speak to an attorney.

It's sad that he sheltered a monster from the law for the good of his program and allow him to continue to molest young children. frick him. He is about to get what is coming to him. There is a special place in hell waiting for him.

Former Penn State coach Joe Paterno is near death, a source confirmed to The Citizens' Voice.

Paterno's wife, Sue, summoned close friends and longtime staff members this afternoon to the State College hospital where Paterno has been undergoing treatments since last weekend.

Paterno wanted to see them and say a final goodbye, Sue told one of the staff members, the source said.

Paterno, diagnosed with cancer days after his Nov. 9 firing, has been weakened by radiation and chemotherapy treatments, a member of his family told the Voice.

Same, I'll remember Joe for what he did for PSU football.

I'll remember Sandusky for the sick shite.

How bout we try to be civil. No sense in being disrespectful to the man. He did a lot of great things for a lot of people and was an excellent coach and good guy.

It was the assistant that saw sandusky raping a boy, not Paterno. Supposedly the higher ups in the University was notified, and you have to realize at Paterno's age, and with everything he has to keep up with, his senility probably hindered his judgement from realizing what exactly was going on. I don't hold any hatred toward Paterno, I honestly don't believe it was his fault.

I would never wish death upon anyone, and if he did happen to be involved with any wrong doing I hope he has prayed and repented of his sins.

Prayers sent to his family and loved ones. Truly is sad that his life will end this way

Hate to see him going out like this. It's hard to imagine the Sandustky debacle didn't take a toll on his health. All his accomplishments and he'll be remembered for his failures.

Igot to say that ESPN is the slowest sports new service. Still no mention of this, whereas TD, Twitter, and SI are blowing up about it
