I miss that Gamecock poster that use to knight for Hebert over Burrow.

Bobby J? The Cajun Cannon?

Or did you mean Justin Herbert?

Modern NFL rules dull the impact of these types of awards imo.

Statistically, passing yards per game are at a ten year low. Burrow is actually bucking the trend here...

He's seriously about to put up Brees-like numbers in a down year for his team.

NFL man team sport.

From a stats perspective burrow is in the best possible situation

Two of the best WRs in the nfl and a defense that gets scored on often and quickly

Does that help for wins? Absolutely not. But it certainly helps for putting up big numbers offensively

The bengals best year as a team was one of burrows worst years statistically for producing numbers. . That isn’t a coincidence

If the refs didn’t pick up the Chiefs and move them into easy field goal range when Mahomes got breathed on a half step out of bounds, while in that same game the Chiefs rushers were allowed to take two full steps and hit Burrow in the chest after he passes the ball… the Bengals would have played the Eagles in the Super Bowl two season ago.

My favorite thing on this board is the majority calling Burrow washed the first 4-5 weeks of every season. Never change MSB.

2021 - Super Bowl year - 27.1 ppg scored/22.1 ppg allowed
Bengals went 10-6
Burrow (16 games) went 4611 yards, 70.4% completion percentage, 34 TD/14 picks

2022 - AFC title loss - 26.1 ppg scored/20.1 ppg allowed
Bengals went 12-4
Burrow (16 games) went 4475 yards, 68.3% completion percentage, 35 TD/12 picks

2024 - likely out of the playoffs - 28.2 ppg scored/26.2 ppg allowed.
Bengals go 7-8
Burrow (15 games) went 4229 yards, 68.9% completion percentage, 39 TD/8 picks

Seems like he, and his offense, are on par with his two best seasons, and his teams' two best seasons. Are we really about to do this "Burrow carried to playoffs by his defense" nonsense?

Funny you mention that because the Saints went 8-8 once and 7-9 five times with Brees at the helm.

Imagine if Joe got to play in a weak division like Josh allen does

Bengals lost to the last place team in the AFC east this year mate, and burrow and the offense scored 10 pts

Also, top afc east defense rankings not the bills:

6th and 7th

Top afc north rankings for defense not the bengals

11th and 16th

So the real question is how crazy would Allen’s numbers be in the weaker defense afc north?

I hate to bury you like that during the Christmas season friend but you brought it on yourself. Seasons greetings

The AFC north is an overall much better division than the east.

Ok. Say what you want, but until Allen gets the Bills to a SB he is behind Burrow.
