MRI revealed more damage than anticipated: Bengals’ QB Joe Burrow tore his ACL, MCL, and suffered other structural issues in his knee as well, per @Ben_Baby and me.

These types of knee injuries, like the one Joe Burrow suffered, usually sideline players anywhere from 9-12 months, though each person heals and rehabs differently. But no matter how quickly Burrow does or doesn’t recover, next year’s status is now in question.

He should have pulled an Eli on the Bengals. What a garbage organization to not take care of your franchise QB.

That’s on the Bengals and their failure to do anything about their Oline.

With the way his knee bent, I worried that this might be the case. Prayers out for Joe, hopefully he makes a full recovery and can get back to playing next season.

Could’ve happened to anybody on any given play.

Bengals entire 2021 off season, FA and draft, needs to be upgrading their Oline. I realize their D isn't great either, but fix that damn Oline.

Guess they can go back to calling him 'surprisingly athletic".

Sure...

But if you’re in that situation far more often than other QBs then the odds go up.

The #Bengals plan to sign QB Brandon Allen to the active roster from their practice squad, per source.

So after Joe Burrow's season-ending knee injury, Cincinnati's QB depth chart now includes Ryan Finley and Brandon Allen.

But is statistically way more likely to happen when the oline is garbage.

Can we drop this narrative yet? In what universe is the number 1 overall pick going to a team with a great offensive line? Look around the league, there are more shitty offensive lines than good one. The bengals are near the bottom in every metric, but there are still worse ones out there. Reading this site you’d think it’s a MAC level offensive line

Sure, it also massively increases your chances when you have a terrible line and have your rookie QB throwing more attempts than anyone in the league. It seems like everyone knew this would happen but the bengals

They'll likely pick Sewell regardless.
