Joe Brady didn't create Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow created Joe Brady. Truth.

Then why didn't Burrow create Ensminger?

Who on the 18 team was as good as DJ Chark in 17 ? No one. No one was that polished yet.

I see 3 schools right near LSU on that list that finished top 5 in scoring offense lol

Penn St & USF in the top 10 in scoring offense too

And oh wow there’s Alabama 15th who would have thought

those astute knew LSU would struggle in 2018 because they ranked near the bottom in returning production.

In 2019 we returned Chase, Marshall, Moss and CEH that all barely played in 2018.

Justin Jefferson

They substituted WRs every series, even after a guy like Chase would torch a team for a TD. They simply didn’t play the best players.

You are correct. Anybody saying ensminger should not be here coaching needs to go straight to the LSU athletic department and apply for the head coaching job . Apparently they are better qualified than Coach O . Because Coach O thinks ensminger should still be here coaching this team . LMAO

I’m sure you can find outliers, but the correlation between strong offenses and returning production is overwhelming. You’re sounding more like Ricky by the post.

I’m fine with Ensminger having a role on the team

his body of work stunk in 2018 with a guy who had the best season in CFB history. That says a lot.

LSU has made moves two straight years that prove they do not trust him with the offense.

Don’t get mad at me for pointing that out.

When it takes minimal effort to find 6 teams in the top 10 right near LSU in returning production, im not sure you can call that an outlier. You have to search for outliers.

Year after year teams plug & play players into their system & play well, whether they are experienced or not. A good system with talent transcends the idea you are trying to push.

You don’t think they finish top 3 but admit you don’t know anything about other sec schools. That is just pure ignorance.

You realize you’re wasting your time right? Anyhow..Most realistic people understand If O doesn’t hire Brady..we aren’t where we are. After the success of last year, most Realistic people have to believe O will demand we keep the same offense. And E and Linehan will be running a very similar offense. And with our talent..we will score a ton of pts.

It’s funny because one person is saying I hate LSU, the other is calling me dumb because I think they will have a top 3 sec offense lol

I strongly Agree with you.

I’m pointing out why he wasn’t fired after 2018.

You can’t look at 2019 & think that 2018 was anything but a wasted year with joe burrow because of the way Ensminger called plays & chose his personnel

That's not a fair statement because Joe came in after Spring practice and most of the summer. He had no chance to work out with the receivers or learn the playbook prior to the pre-season practice. Joe was one of five different quarterbacks and hadn't even won the job yet. In fact, if you remember, McMillan and Brennan were the favorites before Joe showed his stuff.

Once Joe won the job and the season started, it was too late to put in a lot of plays that complemented his style. And let's face it, Joe improved his own skills a great deal in the off season before the championship run and became much more accurate and had much better technique. It was Orgeron as the head coach who, after failing miserably against Alabama one more time, had to make the decision to go to a radically different offensive scheme. Most analysts and commentators said it was not only different for LSU but for all of college football.

So give Ensminger a chance. But do I think he is getting a little old and outdated for the job. Yes, I feel he should retire with grace and honor after this season. He deserves it.

Linehan is the highest paid non coordinator in CFB because they trusted Ensminger. Lol.

It also didn’t complement the style of any of the QBs we had on the roster.

You put 2018 burrow on a sliding scale with 2019 burrow, and it just doesn’t add up. Even coming in late, the coaching that led to his production was about a “3” in 18’.

It was a 10 in 2019.

With as talented as Joe was, it should have at least been a 5-6 in 2018.

They made poor personnel decisions.

The play calling was average on a good day.

They did not play to Joe’s strengths.
