brother, idk if you are familiar with ole miss football, but it wouldn't shock me if Tulane dog walked them.
Bookmark it.
This isn't basketball and baseball where obscure, low level G5 Cinderella teams have a legitimate chance.
It is another waste of 2 spots for the 12 best teams. Both will go home after an absolute lashing in game 1. Again, bookmark it.

Threatening with a good time?
He’s right. Tulane and JMU are basically DEI hires. Nobody believes they are legitimate playoff teams. Why do it?

Most fans prefer a couple G5 teams making it, way more interesting.
frick Notre Dame, who cares? Same goes for BYU, Vandy, and Texas.

Basketball does it
Baseball does it
I don’t want to hear bitching from at large teams on the wrong side of a bubble.

It’s a larger field and thus can sometimes compete with the matchup they receive.
A 12 team football tournament is different.

What you want to hear really isn’t important. And I’m no Notre Dame fan. But having Tulane it JMU in over that team is humorous. He’ll, Vandy would at least have a fighting chance.

The implications for the sport are pretty bad if there’s a 12 team playoff and it’s impossible for a non-P4 team to get in. It’ll be bad for the sport. Bowl games used to matter and now they don’t at all.
They’ll probably expand it to 16 and keep the rules the same anyway

So, nobody really wants to see it but it’s a necessary evil?
That’s quite the argument.

I’ve already disagreed with this assertion. Plenty of fans would rather see JMU take a crack at it than Notre Dame or a team that finished 4th or 5th in a P4 conference

How about not let a team in that looks to total dogshit who lost by 3 TDS and would have gotten shut out if not for help from the refs? Also, they lost by multiple tds to a 5 win team earlier in the season. Has 3 losses, but still gets helped out by the crooked NCAA.

It's the ACC fault for having a dumb tie breaker and Notre Dames fault for losing to Miami and refusing to join a conference so they by their own choice will never have a chance to get a Conference champion bid. If Miami would've beat Virginia in acc championship then JMU would be out and Notre Dame in. The ACC is stupid and Notre Dame wants to play by their own rules.

Remember the non-P4 schools are footing 60% of the bill over the next ten years even though 90% of the payments are to former P4 players.
Non P4 got a free ride though. They made money from playing P4s and the overall interest in college football despite either not being able or not feeling like they had to pay their players

I’m a huge ND guy. We should have beat Miami when we had the chance. No complaints about them getting in over us but there is no way that ND would not be favorites over any other team in the CFP. Whole systems stinks

I’m betting the ratings will prove this incorrect. Especially if the game is over by halftime
And on power 5 still have a shot. Just go 12-0 instead of 10-2 in the AAC. Many teams have done it. UCF, Boise, Cincy. So they’d get a spot.

An 11-2 Tulane team beat #9 USC with Heisman QB Caleb Williams in the Cotton Bowl in 2022.

Notre dame not joining a conference is a big middle finger to the big ten. They get to schedule who they want and get all the money from NBC plus the tradition of being different. The committee should now force Notre dame to join. If they try or pundits keep calling them out, they should be reminded why no one wanted Notre dame to begin with.
