bull shite.
So you don't think Jeter's skill are rapidly declining? That he's the same hitter he once was? Jeter used to rip doubles, now he needs to a fake HBP just to get on?

from day 1 jeter has always done whatever it takes to win. as a leadoff hitter, his job is to get on base, which he did.

Sorry I didn't make that clear. I agree that he's on the decline. No doubt. I'm talking about him doing what is necessary to get on base.

Like Jeter said....what do you want me to do? Tell the umpire, who fell for the acting, that he won't take first base?

Wow, is it that hard to understand. No, that's not what anybody wants Jeter to do and if he said that he's even more retarded. What I want Jeter to do is not put on a faggy acting job and try and deceive the umpire in that manner in the first place. How is this hard to understand?

Anybody that says they lost respect for Jeter is just a dumbass.

And, judging from your response, that would make them just slightly smarter than you.

if the receiver knows he drops it and pretends otherwise in an effort to make the ref think he caught, then it is indeed cheating.

You can say it is just part of the game, but it is what it is: cheating. There is no way to justify cheating...

Can you tell me what rule that player is breaking?

You have to break a rule to be cheating.

That's an entirely different argument from saying he wouldn't have done this when he was in his prime.

If you believe this, then you basically HAVE to believe that every single athlete cheats.

Every WR in the NFL has done this at some point. Every baseball player does the same thing when the trap a ball.

Catchers. Oh man, you must really think catchers are the biggest cheaters since they're framing a pitch about 100 times per night, lol.
