Curtis could have moved up for years. Never did. They scared

he's referring to the time period between 1991 and 2004, when Curtis was in class 4A...

very odd game....very un WM like especially w shows out....
Yep, that was a fluke win. Barbe scored 3 TDs in the last two minutes. Probably would never happen again in a million years.
I was not at the game but a players parent was telling me that the West Monroe players were on the sideline were celebrating & get ready to go to the Dome and lost focus.
And it cost them, probably cost them a ring.

OK, I heard this from a prominent coach several years ago, maybe tin-foil hat territory.
Evangel and Curtis had a 'gentlemans' agreement not to play in the same classification because JC gave Evangels leader the blue-print of how to use/manipulate the LHSAA rules to build a football factory.

I can understand last year. It does feel cheapened. But they did beat Staug, prob the best team in 5a on either side
Nah!!
I'm going against my Alma and choosing Acadiana as well... Rummel actually had the advantage playing AUG again, considering we are still shuffling around a permanent coaching staff that dates back to '01, shite probably all the way to mid 90's... Jay is still top dog of the league...

Im talking about 5A. Evangel played up when schools were allowed too. And they beat the shite out of everyone.
Curtis was comfortable in 4A, cause they knew they had no competition. They use the excuse "join the Catholic league or bust", yet they'll say they will play anyone, anywhere. Which is probably true. But why not join 5A in another district and compete for the state title? They never did!!! And they also used the excuse of not being able to compete in other sports, but that's bullshite considering in the last 20 years they've won state titles in
baseball(3)
softball (7)
T&F (4)
Girls Bball(3)
boys bball(1)
they know the only way the school can maintain is to continue winning football championships.

Shoulda
I've never heard more excuses come out of more schools in a given year
It's etched in stone for eternity, fellas. Don't be mad, just deal with it. Gotta learn to let go.

Id love to pull up that thread! no one picked Rummel to win!! including several people in this thread that always pick against them

I know one thing... I always had the Raidahs back ;-) even if others didn't... Choupiquesushi everyone calls you a catholic league guy bc you tout your shaw connections on here, but you hate on the other schools every chance you get... Just saying... As for Jesuit, Songy might be a perfectly fine guy, but this just reeks of them accepting being mediocre. If he's still the coach next year, alumni should be pissed

Hey, when your team gets 8 state trophies in their like WM does, come see me.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, was beating Acadiana last year. Acadiana would have beat Aug or Rummel by 20+
ETA: Parkway beat Byrd, the finalist who barely lost the 5A private final, 52-29. And Acadiana made Parkway look like a middle school volleyball team. Acadiana had one of the most dominating teams I have seen come out of louisiana

That school is only going to go so many lengths to win in football. It doesn't matter who the coach is.

It never seemed to me that football was a huge priority when I went to school there. Not much of the reputation and image relies on it as I see things.

60 lol! that game wouldn't have got out the 40's. Boths teams can control the clock by pounding the ball.
