More than half the conference makes the playoffs.

Imagine your team signing Lebron last summer and cheering for an 8 seed

Clippers really are the best ticket in town huh

No team is going to want to take on that contract for a 35, 36, and 37 year old LeBron way past his prime.

My fault, I missed the Bledsoe extension. Even so, there are plenty of guys thay would love to ride James' coattails. Guys like Davis, that don't want to be leaders, but still get the money and glory. Maybe not the top echelon, but still good players. I don't want them to be, but they are going to be much better next season..

I'm curious.

You seem hot for snot. Lakers are a toxic waste of tards. We can agree that much, can't we?

You seriously do not believe Lebron is bringing a ship to LA, do you?

Lebron has become toxic. He can't win in the West. All those years in the East was a mirage of Gobi Desert proportions.

whoever takes LeBron has to take Lonzo Ball too.

we're acting like the Lakers are 15-67. It's ridiculous. They'll probably be like 36-46

If magic and lebron didnt publicly humiliate everyone.

I can see trading him.
He's trying to deal with mic in his face.

get a high first for him.
To Cleveland for k love.

They had that record because of the teams they were playing. It was during the easiest part of their schedule.

I'm not going to go as far as saying its a good idea; he's still a great player, and capable of making them a playoff team next year.

That said, the moment that AD is traded somewhere else, don't they really have to look long and hard at it?

He's not just 35, he's 35 with a 3 year contract worth $117M, coming off an injury, and with 56,000 miles on the floor minute odometer, and he's making a movie in the offseason, killing some of the 'he's finally not playing a 100 games a year with the playoffs' bounce back you hope for next year.

I think it'd take a Godfather offer, but who is going to offer that?

Let's say your ideal situation is a mid market type that knows they're not going to become a FA destination. You have young talent, a lot of good pieces, can absorb a serious salary cap hit, and want to move forward into fringe contention- what do you offer?

Use Sacramento as a test case; say they offer Marvin Bagley, their #1 this year, and unprotected #1 in two years. I think that Sacramento may look at that and say 'No thanks'; at the very least, they have a long long conversation before saying yes.

Is there a bigger offer out there that someone is going to pull the trigger on? I'm not sure how much more anyone will offer for him.

Maybe he truly is the ageless wonder, but selling your next 5 years, for the hope he's going to bring you a championship is becoming a harder and harder sell for Lebron.

There are a few things going on here.

The obvious one is the LeBron injury situation.

The less obvious ones are the kind of team you need to put around him and the bullshite that goes along with him.

LeBron needs shooters around him. LeBron absolutely HATES playing next to young players. And LeBron tends to be a major shite stirrer whenever things go wrong, attempting to deflect blame while at the same time pushing to bring in “his guys” as coach and supporting players.

How many teams are currently composed of a lot of shooters who don’t have a lot of rookies playing heavy minutes, can afford LeBron, and will put up with his shite?

The Warriors could do a sign and trade of Durant to the Lakers for him and still say no because, while they don’t have a ton of young players and they do have a ton of shooters, they aren’t going to upset a multiple title team to bring in LeBron if he will dog it on defense, try to get Kerr fired, and insist on bringing in dead weight guys.
