Because, I'm sure the players watch more games than the media, amirite?

2. Players watch film and understand the game way better than the vast majority of media members. They watch film on players like LeBron, Harden, and Curry, and know their game way better than nearly every media member.
I'd trust Kawhi Leonard to tell me about Harden's game way more than I'd trust Brian Windhorst.

Michael Jordan, for example, could probably break down film very well, but he is a pretty horrible evaluator of general player talent.

Kobe is probably so pissed off this didn't happen 15 years ago

Except you won't acknowledge the players not nominating Kawhi as best defender makes this whole thing hilarious
Players don't watch much film at all, especially before the playoffs.
Players don't use advanced stats.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

Is that seriously what you think video scouts do?

quote:Well MJ hasn't done well with free agents (i.e., proven players) either so it is a fair comparison.

Well Hollinger had a vote when he was a media member and he made a move to acquire Jeff freakin Green last season. So what makes you think media members can identify talent any better than players?

Congrats on the pitty award. I'm sure this is a proud day for everyone involved in the Rockets franchise and its fans.

he should win the "get to the line 20 times a game on bullshite foul calls" award

I'm trying to figure out what evaluating draft prospects has to do with this

A) Hollinger didn't make that move; Chris Wallace did
b) he is actually on record as an ESPN writer destroying Jeff Green's game
