I don't really have much of a problem with trying to preserve the shutout.

That said, im every time I see or read something about Franklin, he comes off as the worlds biggest a-hole.

Pretty much how I feel about it. I wouldn't freak out about it but kind of a dick move. Nothing more nothing less.

It's a fricking 31 yarder make the kick. Obviously you have never played football or you would know a shutout is a big deal for a defense and a great confidence booster. I'm guessing you wish Notre Dame would have let you kick a field goal a couple years ago when y'all got destroyed 31-0.

He made the kick, too. Then he missed it after the Ice.

I don't care how competitive you are, that's a bs move

He's rightly getting roasted today on sports radio

Shut the frick up, you must be in the participation award crowd.

He's hired to coach a football team and make his student athletes better people.

And win football games.

He can tell them about getting iced and missing the fg to keep a shutout alive. Much better story imo.

Think of the story he can tell them now about that a-hole Franklin. An even better story.

He iced a kicker, not told his MLB to destroy a down syndrome kid on a feel good TD run in a spring game.

This. It just seems unnecessary.

I'm a GSU grad and I had zero problem with Franklin's decision.

Franklin is a tier one a-hole. That fact has kind of flown under the radar. It's no coincidence that at the first sign of success, he's not even trying to hide it.

His comments last week after the Pitt game were pathetic.

His crash and burn will be fun to watch.

That's a bigger bitch move than KD defending himself under fake accounts.

I'm not a Franklin fan, albeit I do think he's a really good coach.

I just don't see the big deal? At all...

He wanted to preserve the shutout.
