So some random dude saw him and claims he is the same exact height? bullshite. I could try to guess people's height based on my own height and I would be wrong a majority of the time

But how did she get the the possible height of 5'9"

Unless he just rushed her or something.

I wonder if its possible another player did it....and she just got them mixed up because...he's you know...

ETA: Also Clay Travis points out that Jameis Winston is close to the 240 that was reported..

but if your going of the dimensions she provided 5'9 240 and 6'4 and your saying less than 240 is a HUUUUUUUUGE difference in build.

shed literally have to be picking numbers purely out of thin air for it to be describing him

I ate with Winston today, I'm 6'2 no half and he looked taller than me. Also, he did not rape me.

This is bogus.

You clearly did not stand up to your fullest. He's the same height as you! you and I both know it!

So you admit that its actually pretty easy to mistake a persons height? Doesn't that mean it's irrelevant that the victim got it wrong?

If she was attacked, then her description of her attacker is VERY relevant.

not really when it comes to a height

if the girl herself is small and has no point of reference for how tall her attacker is it would be fairly easy for her to get it wrong.

hell, I once won a bet with a guy who was convinced Ben Wallace was a 7 footer. This guy was a basketball player himself which apparently gave him special insight to the heights of basketball players. He kept pointing at the screen saying it was easy to tell. I go to the computer, google Ben Wallace, and show him the guy is only listed at 6'7 in pre-draft measurements and has an NBA (in shoes) listing at 6'9. That's big difference on a guy we were looking at on the TV.

Hell, this girl may have never even followed sports at all which would make it even less likely she would be able to ID a height with any accuracy.

Again, I am not saying I think Winston is guilty. However, to focus on the height description as proof positive he didn't do anything is foolish.

lol. Tell that to any defense attorney.

If she is mistaken about his height, what about his eyes, the features of his face, tattoos, scars, skin color? If she were intoxicated, her incorrect perceptions are critical to the alleged attacker's defense.

Lol the settings are entirely different. Television and an in-person encounter are not even remotely close for purposes of perceiving others.

No one said it is proof positive, but it doesn't make it irrelevant either.

SIAP but TMZ thinks the Police were covering it up.

LINK

quote:

Our sources in the State Attorney's Office say ... it was highly unusual cops wouldn't have filled them in about the case until this week. The sources say cops would have typically notified them when the investigation was completed, and Winston's lawyer reportedly says cops told him it was completed in February. Now get this ... TMZ Sports started calling police about the case on Monday. We were told someone would get back to us later that day, but there was radio silence for 2 days ... we made repeated calls Tuesday and Wednesday and no one got back to us until late Wednesday afternoon. Sources in the State Attorney's Office tell us ... the timing -- getting notified about the case months after it supposedly was closed and just a day after TMZ started calling -- is suspicious. The State Attorney has now re-activated the case and sent it back to cops for further investigation. And there's a twist -- guess what would happen if Winston was even CHARGED with felony sexual assault -- under FSU's rules ... he would be AUTOMATICALLY BENCHED ... killing the team's national championship hopes and his Heisman Trophy chances. I'm late to this party, but if someone accused you of sexual assault, you would attempt to defend yourself without an attorney? You dumb.

As he should. Every lawyer in the country would tell him not to talk to the police. There is zero upside to doing so.

Hey a-hole, I don't want anyone to be guilty of sexual assault b/c I don't want sexual assaults to happen. I'm not so pathetic that I'm happy about bad shite happening to people so you can frick off that that bullshite.

And no, sorry but there are plenty of cases where victims of robbery, assault, rape, etc, get the descriptions of the perps painfully wrong to the point they even identify the wrong race.

So would a defense lawyer use it to defend his client? Sure.

But getting the height wrong really doesn't mean that much in the long run. Sorry, it just doesn't.

Oh and to reiterate, frick off acting like I want some kids life to be ruined ya prick.

Do I need to go through this thread and copy your posts?

Per the FSU boards:

A close family friend of the Winstons confirmed this was an incident that they've known about for a long time. Winston was at a party with other football players and saw some random guy feel a girl up. He provided witness affidavits to the police.

Nothing to see here.

Why would they be concerned about the Heisman chances of someone who was redshirting at the time of the incident?
