Yeah the college football game was always better than Madden. Something about Madden I hate but it’s hard to describe. The game needs to be brightened up, player motions are weird. College football was a better video game.
From the 1.5 seconds of game stuff they actually showed it looked like the same old college football player motions. They’re very distinct if you played NCAA every year. So that’s a good sign.

Realitic penalties. You can turn sliders up to 99 for everything and still not get enough penalties in game, I don't believe.
I actually agree with this. Also, players get injured way too often

Probably the biggest thing is turning off the X Factor or Superstar abilities. They're so dumb
I don’t necessarily agree with this, but I could see why people wouldn’t like this. I’ve never noticed it being overpowering or anything, I’ll pay more attention to this

With the sliders, other than penalties, you can really hone in on getting very realistic gameplay offline IMO. Can't speak to online, never play that for Madden
Online play would be my biggest complaint but it has nothing to do with the gameplay. Get up by two scores?? They quit. Or another thing that gets under my skin are the people that run the same play and just got route or audible everybody. Just kinda cheesy IMO

Do you have madden 24?
Do I currently own, no, have I played, yes.

It looks like this information is from 2021. Notre Dame was included in the trailer, USC's football X (Twitter) tweeted about it. I think they hammered it out over the last few years and all the big schools will be in the game.

If there is any ray of optimism it's that NCAA was never the casual gamer hit that madden or fifa was. And because of that I believe the gameplay and features like dynasty and road to glory were always key pieces to the game.
Because a game like this is going to be more geared towards hard-core fans and not just the casuals I think they understand that they only get 1 shot at a first impression for the franchise to last and they need it to with the amount of money the are going to have to shell out for licensing, NIL, etc... I'm not saying it's 100% going to be good but I think that at least gives some optimism.

quote:Yea, but you can edit that slider. One thing I hate is no ability to edit sliders for simmed games. When you sim, there isn't enough injuries. NBA2k does a great job of having a full array of sliders to edit for simmed games.
Also, players get injured way too often

ETA: My kid plays on my account too, so if you send a message and it gets ignored while online, he knows not to answer anyone that he doesn't know who they are.

Should be since Madden can be played cross-platform.
There will have to be several online dynasties for TD since a lot of people will be picking up controllers for the first time in a while.

More than 10,000 college football players have already opted in for EA Sports College Football 25, the new EA Sports video game set to launch this summer, which will feature the athletes and pay them through a name, image and likeness deal.
EA Sports reached 10,000 opt-ins Friday night, just eight days after opening the process to players at FBS programs, a spokesman for the company told ESPN. Each player who opts in to have their name, image and likeness used will receive $600 and a copy of the game, valued at around $70.
By surpassing 10,000 opt-ins, EA Sports has reached 87% of its goal for the game, which will feature teams with 85-man rosters.

Arch Manning has opted out to "focus on football".
Translation: He wanted more money.
If you don't want to do it, don't do it, but own the reason you're opting out. Don't act like a day of wearing a mocap suit is really going to hinder your offseason training.
Ewers is in it btw.

Just like to say arch manning can blow me. Entitled prick. What have you done besides being born on third and saying you hit a triple. I wished Texas would've gotten nico instead of him.

I will just create Daniel Marino or Jason Elway and put them on Texas

Some a-hole will create “Archibald Manning” or some variation to get him edited into the game, put a video up online and that will lead to a new lawsuit. I honestly think this is going to be a “one and done” situation with this game.

EA already said they will block you from creating players that don’t opt in
