You can't control whether people are on base in front of you, but you know that.

Because RBI’s are a major component of baseball. It’s tbe reason why managers try to put RISP. Why even have RISP stats?

A .245 average with a .390 OBP Isn’t bad at all.

Will he be Trout? No....but Bryce is still a top five position player in the game. No one wants to face him.

When it's not something that guys can recreate every year(it's random), the question is valid, why do we actually have RISP stats?


I'm all for more stats, so I'm good with it, but it just tells you who is randomly doing better when guys are in scoring position, it's not really telling you anything of substance though.
