This one is pretty bad. Clippers never won with PG, and never even got close. OKC has been to a conference Finals and won it all with SGA.

If the Lakers win something yes. But at this point it's a wash.

Vlade Divac for Kobe is a personal favorite of mine.

The Cubs traded Joe Carter
The trade was in mid-June, and the pitcher(Sutcliffe) they acquired went 16-1 won the CY Young and Cubs won the division

And Carter won a couple of rings in Toronto.

but the Cubs traded him to Cleveland, not Toronto

How many rings did the Cubs get out of that deal?

The Paul George trade is looking way worse right now. Clippers didn't win shite with PG and gave away what turned out to be a league MVP and a massive amount of draft capital that OKC built a monster with.
The Luka trade will always be bad in the fact that the Mavs should have gotten a much bigger haul for him at the time....but it might not be looked at in as negative of a light if Cooper Flagg pans out and becomes a superstar.

The SGA/PG trade might actually be worse.
The Doncic trade was really really bad in foresight. Which in my opinion makes it 10x worse.

So, you think the Cubs trading Joe Carter for a Cy Young winner, cost them a World Series? That’s certainly an opinion.

The clippers trade was easily the most lopsided. OKC fleeced them silly.
The Mavs got a 10x all star who is now trade bait for more draft capital and Cooper Flagg, who is a highly marketable 18YO whiteboy phenom that doesn’t have chronic ailments, history of weight problems, and lazy Defense.
Nico might come out the back side of this looking like a genius or a retard, but the jury is going to be deliberating for a long time.

Meh. Everyone would have done the clippers trade at the time it was made and talking shite about it is pure hindsight

Way to conjoin two entirely different statements to misrepresent what is being said

I'm saying, between the two, they traded over 800 HR for a Cy Young and a division title.

Who gives a frick about opinions at the time of trade? A trade is a prediction of the future on both sides and is graded as time elapses.
One side got a league MVP and a ton of R1 picks who brought them a title. The other got a guy who was injured a lot and never made the finals.

To be fair the Clippers got two oft injured players and never made the finals, and one was fresh off leading a team to a championship. Signing Leonard was contingent on the trade which was why the return was so huge.
You can have a sound process where you take a calculated risk and it backfires like the Clippers, and you can just completely misjudge the value and conduct things in a way where it’s impossible to get the best return like the Mavs. I think the Mavs trade was far worse. It also has ripple effects to their business off the court with how much it has alienated the fanbase

lol. Do you think the Paul George trade was a good trade for the clippers based on the fact that people liked it at the time?
OKC made a bet that Paul George wasn’t the guy. LAC made a bet that he was. Who was right?
