Chris Canty's takes are absolutely atrocious. His morning show on ESPN radio is god awful.

I have to listen to this idiot at 5:30 AM on my drive to work because nothing else is on. He bashes every white QB and praises every black QB. If a black QB is playing like dog crap it’s never his fault, it’s always the coach and the organizations fault. He’s just a racist period.

They had the #1 overall pick before Burrow, hadn’t reached 8 wins in the previous 4 seasons, with Dalton, and hadn’t won a playoff game since 1990.

A great example of how full of shite he is was when the Deion to Dallas rumor came up a couple weeks back. The cowboys are discussed every day on the show and he bashes Jerry Jones 100% of the time but when the Deion talk started he began praising Jerry saying how well he pays and treats his players. Then when Marty’s kid got the job he went right back to bashing Jones.

Not that controversial.
When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be some epic troll by Canty having Burrow way down the list. But to say, it is his opinion that you need to be top 3 to be elite, then put Burrow at 4 because he has 0 SB rings, All-Pros & MVPs; it really is not controversial at all. Just be consistent with that narrative if/when Burrow starts getting some of those accolades.

While i think burrow is a good qb. He has a point.. when comparing burrow to his competetion. He is definitely at the bottom.
Of the 4 burrow is the only one with 0 superbowls, 0 mvps, and 0 all pros.
All of theo other 3 have multiples of one category or the other

It’s an idiotic show, the double standards they use when comparing players are non stop and obvious. The producer is the only one with any sense at all and the only one who challenges Cantys BS. He’s a big Eagles fan and Canty lost his mind when he said that Barkley, not Hurts was the best player on the Eagles offense. Canty thinks Hurts is the 3rd best QB in the NFL behind Mahomes and Jackson lol

He’s also full of it with that take because he thinks Mahomes, Jackson, JD5 and Hurts are all elite. I’d bet if you asked him he’d say Jordan Love is elite as well.

Almost as if team stats aren't a great argument for who is a better QB. How many Qbs from 2014-2016 would you take over Drew Brees in those seasons?

The issue is in communication. If he said, Joe Burrow isn't a top 3 quarterback in the NFL this wouldn't be a discussion. But he's using a term that has no true definition. Some people may define elite as top 3, other may define elite as top 10, others may not define it by a set number and have the category vary from year to year.

I can see a case for those guys potentially, but the bottom line is Brees is easily elite in those years but the Saints' success isn't.
