To answer the question:

If he hires Prime, he will definitely screw the pooch on his HC selection.

His act won't play well with grown men.

Dallas is trading dak to the browns for a first round pick and is hiring sanders as head coach. I’m still laughing.

It's believable because the Browns may be the only franchise more completely dysfunctional than the Cowboys.

Good Lord, it's already insufferable living in DFW with the constant Cowboys coverage, we don't need the Prime drama that comes with him. Just get a good coach and STFU, Jerry.

I'm almost to the point where I hope he hires Deion so I can quit following this miserable franchise. That would be the nail in the coffin for me.

Nobody that wants the Cowboys to win games wants Deion.

If failure is winning 3 super bowls and building the most valuable sports franchise on the planet then I want to be a failure

Jerry has to have the spotlight on him. Deion has to have the spotlight on him. It would be a shite show from the start

There's a reason no other team is considering for a HC position. But of course he's the main candidate in Dallas

For the last 25 years, Jerrah and his brand is all marketing for him, himself and his world.

Yup. He has the highest priced sports franchise in the world, and hasn't had to win jack in a qtr century. No reason to focus on winning until the value starts to diminish/slow down, hurting his ability to use the team as collateral for other ventures.

Is this a joke/rhetorical question? I’m a 7th generation Dallasite and used to live and die by the outcome of games. I am almost completely indifferent to the Cowboys now and they will never, ever win again until not only Jerry is dead but the entire family is no longer involved and has sold the team. Not holding my breath on the latter. I would love to be wrong, but pretty sure I’m not. Absolutely no coach of any caliber will take this job unless Jerry gets the duck out of the way - which he hasn’t done since Parcells was the coach.

They would both be throwing shade to the media about each other at the inevitable end.

Who are: Teams with more recent conference championship game appearances than the Cowboys, Alex?

Literally every last one of them.

I’m not a Jones fan but will ask one question:

When Jones bought the franchise in 1989 after the team finished 3-13, if you had asked Cowboys fans if they would be satisfied with three Super Bowl wins through 2024, would they have taken it?

You get to a point in Cowboys fandom where all that matters is being entertained.
