Go to Yellowstone, Glacier, Zion, Grand Canyon or Yosemite and 1/2 of the people are foreigners. They obviously didn’t get the memo.

Build some Section 8 housing near those and get back to me in 5 years. Most of our stadiums are surrounded by shithole communities that will be basically be on lockdown during the WC like China banning cars in Beijing during the Olympics.

Agree. Its a big problem. Looked at some tickets for the Argentina match in KC becasue my buddies finance is from there and they were almost 3k a pop in the 300s at midfield at Arrowhead. Thats insane.

It pains me to read that. I know the. Majority of posters on TD are multi millionaires (sarcasm) this goes for probably every sport or concert. You are pricing out everyone. Oh let’s turn off the water fountains and then charge people $12 foot a bottle of water.

The board is filled with threads about how awful our major cities are.

Although not entirely wrong in how awful some are, I just went through 3 pages trying to find one of these threads you are talking about and didn't see one on that board.

Lol people arent scared to come to the US. People dont wanna support the US tourism industry right now because of stuff like trying to take over Greenland, tariffs, and the war causing their fuel prices to skyrocket.

I know you know Argentina games won’t be a normal indicator of the ticket market

True. We visited Yosemite a few weeks ago and just a back of the hand calculation I think half of the tourists were foreigners. Lots of Indians. It used to be mostly Japanese with the cameras back in the day. Then the Chinese have started coming here. Now Indians everywhere. Euros are there but they blend in better for some reason. No one seems to be scared off because of the false narrative that the USA is crime mecca.

Already a success in Houston. They’ve laid asphalt over decades old potholes that had grown to the size of moon craters and painted all kinds of fun random graffiti on the sides of large buildings.

There's some truth here^^^^.

I know several people who work in the brewery business in and around the KC metro, they think the World Cup in KC is not really going to help their bottom lines that much because many of the people who will be attending the games at Arrowhead are from Muslim nations and they generally do not drink alcoholic beverages.

Thread about violence in Newark.

Thread about violence in Chicago

Here’s some quotes

quote:

Public libraries in liberal cities are just day housing for the homeless at this point. I hate going to the library in Athens.

quote:

This is why this country is turning to shite. No one takes blame for anything. Everyone always shifts.

quote:

Uh, let’s be honest. This is black teen takeovers. In blue cities. Not an American problem, a Democrat problem.

quote:

The downtown kansas city library is filled with homeless people.

Guys, the OP is not saying it is true or that we see it from our media, but I was just in China, Malaysia, and Japan for 3 weeks and their view of the US is that we are a violent and “culch” country because that is what they see on the BBC and Al Jazeera networks that dominate the broadcasts in those parts of the world, They don’t have NBC, ABC, Fox, or CBS. But they do have CNN International and the commie networks. It pisses me off every time I travel because they are being brainwashed. And yes, you do see a lot of foreigners in rural areas on group trips to the US. But you sure don’t see a random Japanese family traveling to Macon, Miami, or Newark by themselves.

You could have told me that all came from the OT and I would have believed you. Don't act like it's just a politic board thing. And no I'm not one that praises that board and rarely post there.
