re: Is Bubba Wallace a Contendor?

Based on his stats and performance I don’t see how he can be viewed as a legit championship contender. Playoff contender? I think he is borderline with that argument. His career cup stats are:

3 poles
2 wins
22 top 5’s
46 top 10’s
Avg start: 19.61
Avg finish: 19.85
Made playoffs once

He has been with 23XI since 2021 and has been in good equipment. Tyler Reddick over the last couple of seasons has proved that.

Reddick is entering his 3rd season with 23XI. His first two seasons, his stats were:
72 starts
5 poles
5 wins
22 top 5’s
37 top 10’s
Made playoffs both years. Finished 4th last year and 6th the year before. Compare that to Bubba over the last two seasons:

2 poles
0 wins
11 top 5’s
24 top 10’s
Made playoffs once

All Wallace is is black. Average at best driver

I was just implying the hype is because of the anomaly of their skin color or genitalia

Bubba seems like a cool, country dude that should appeal to a lot of the baws on this website, although I’ll admit he’s not licking enough boots for their taste. Trump made a way bigger deal about the noose incident than Bubba ever did.

He has good equipment. His teammate wins a decent amount of races, if he was a better driver he could probably be a contender but he hasn’t shown that to be the case as of yet.
